How many times do we see this, a player out for two weeks originally then it stretches out to months?

Lost count. That's how 'back in 2 weeks' became an Owlstalk standing joke. It's a farce. I bet there's a full XI, if not more, who, over the last few years, have got injured & just faded away or not returned to contribute anything.

What the fk is going on behind the scenes with this lot?

So obviously its his toe which is why he's out...

But whats up with Reach's knee as well?

He's had strapping on it for well over a year now and continues to play with it.
Clearly whatever that underlying issue is its never been fixed.

There is also a strong possibility that Reach, who can be deployed in a number of different positions, may not be ready to return to action when the owls travel to Bristol City and West Bromwich Albion next week.

Reach may require more time on the training ground to build up his match fitness following an extended period on the sidelines.

After hosting Forest, Monk's men travel to Ashton Gate a week today before welcoming automatic promotion contenders WBA on Saturday, March 21.

The WBA clash marks the final fixture before the two-week break.

It means Reach could have to wait until the trip to Swansea City next month to make his Owls comeback.

Be reyt

Reach is the polar opposite of Da Cruz......he can take the ball from the edge of our area to the edge of theirs without looking remotely troubled or breaking sweat.

Da Cruz however looks like he’s trying to run with a rugby ball at his feet

Can’t see any injured player wanting to rush back and get stuck into the last few games

Are you saying all of the injured players would rather let us slide towards relegation and potentially start next season in League One rather than get involved to try and do something about it?

Where did you get the news in the OP from, does it say what his injury is? Rare that a players sits out for 2 months with a minor toe injury.

Wouldn't surprise me if Reach has been frozen out too. He's 4yrs into a 5yr contract. No mention of a possible new one, and we can't allow him to walk next year for nowt. Could be problems brewing there.

Wasn't he supposed to be going to Benfica in January.

Maybe we've ended up in a position where we can't afford to sell players for FFP reasons?

How could that have happened?

If the OP is true, then it suggests he's recovered from the injury but needs to get match fitness.

How the fooookety foooook will he get this without playing matches? Just put him on the bench and give him half an hour or start him then drag him off when he's blowing out his arris.
