TodwickOwl
So what did fans pay for tonight? Even at 1-0 down we’ve not even gone for it for 10 minutes Was our game plan to even keep in it to the final minute? Because we can’t even keep any composure to get the ball up front Dreadful 1 1
TodwickOwl
Even in the final minute we can’t play a 10 yard pass Gone out without a shot on target WOW

Cant criticise that performance yes granted we didn't put much of a fight going forward but they put a shift in they tried their best the winner was a marginally offside goal.. If we had gone forward we would have been destroyed not good for confidence 3

TheBoyBeevers
Champions of England and defending cup holders. played the percentages, didn’t quite come off. dial it back, lad.
McRightSide
What we’re you expecting against one of the best team on the planet? The players were absolutely dead on their feet at the end. How do you summon the energy to try and get, retain and then create against a team like that? That said, the substitutions killed us. Unless he was injured there was no reason to waste one on Börner. Unless he was injured there was no reason to remove FF and leave the hapless Da Cruz strolling round the pitch like a Jay Bothroyd on spice. Hunt did really well. Should be comfortably above JP in the pecking order now. So, no complaints for the team...just a shame we wasted our first 2 substitutions

But we lacked pace up top and huffed and puffed.
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Manchester City are more than capable of steamrollering Premier League opponents; if we'd gone all out attacking against them, I dread to think what would have happened - but I imagine you'd still be on here whinging about it either way. The only realistic chance for us to nick a result tonight was to sit in, keep it tight, and hope to hit them on the counter or from a set-piece. That we didn't manage that is hardly unexpected. 1

Did you even read my post? Not a problem with keeping it right - but at 1-0 down with ten minutes to go? We still don’t even pull away and push some men up? Why? We had no composure, no outball, no threat at all from inplay or dead ball situations - what made us think we could have one chance? Pathetic

camffiti
Man City controlled the game, so were able to play at Premier League pace I think both managers will reasonably pleased with the result tbf
TodwickOwl
Basically for all those that don’t understand - you can’t score a goal if you don’t attack which we didn’t - not even at 1-0 down.
