How would that have worked?

from what i can glean Doyen simply do whats best for Doyen...Lending Chansiri money to buy from someone else?..or buy something else?

It works like a lease/ loan with the agent having no or little financial risk but most/all of a potential reward.

It's a way of getting around 3rd party ownership to boot!

Paixao is his right-hand man.  From day one!

Which I suppose is fine, if he was competent and was judged on results.

DC has had to sell the ground to raise a net of £30m or so to simply avoid a significant breaches of the FFP rules. This seemed a last minute decision early in 2019, even though we knew the direction of the financial performance and figures well in advance. Doyen are clearly privy to the club's financial position; the FFP rules and obvious sanctions. To sit there and passively allow this to unravel or worst, resist selling players to avoid sanctions, isn't what I'd expect from a consultant.

Very!

A lot of our supporters though seem reluctant to read it as well as the CC philosophy article in both the Independent and Guardian which joins all the dots and explains exactly where we are.

3 year plan started TOO well, went wrong and now we are where we are.

Very fine margins!

I am saying he has had plenty of advice from experienced football people and not taken heed of it. These people don't last long.

maybe so Kivo...So what makes him adhere to Doyen?

its pretty plain he loses his rag with "some" consultants, but not others?

Strange

They have “a stake” and always did.

There is nothing wrong or twisted about this in the modern game.

Get us up and prosper - all of us!

Not happened though, not the first nor last - Derby, Forest, Leeds to name a few - support, history and up to now - FAILURE!!

Numerous owners, numerous swerves all wanting the promised land!

We have a choice - look up and fail - look down and be stale.  I’d rather die trying!

Pretty much every jar or bottle top for me these days..

I drunkenly knocked the top off a champagne bottle on new year's eve with my best knife and cut the boy's girlfriend's cheek..

It seems anyone with a decent ounce of football knowledge didn't last too long in the process. Suggests to me that if you had a strong opinion then it didn't fit with the DC mould and you weren't there long. To me that's not bad advice that's just stubborn and ignorant.

DC's famous loyalty and sense of 'family' may be at play here?

Clearly after spending untold millions we are not currently much further forward.

There can't be sound financial or strategic reasons for carrying on with the same setup, so it must be a personal, ethical or emotional stand on the part of DC.

I've no doubt about his good intentions or his generosity but I do wonder about his judgement.

You mean he’s stubborn
