Inspector Lestrade
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/scotland Is this the beginning of the end for headers? Or is it Health and Safety gone mad? Does it really justify such a move? Are there millions of victims of heading?

It just people jumping on a band wagon without having a clue - the footballers of the 60's headed what in todays game would be classed a brick of a ball noweverdays the balls are more fly away that heavy balls

trev
Football teams will look like a bunch of Jockeys in about 50 years of this ever happened. Average height of teams would drop by about a foot.

HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU
Has anyone done the 'good job you're heading flyaways now and not casey balls' yet? 1 2 Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

cowl
Well, I for one think it's a good move. It's not like they're removing heading from the sport, just limiting its use with kids. Most kids hate heading the ball anyway so it'll not be a big miss. They can concentrate with keeping the ball on the deck, and introduce heading once they've got the other basics of the game sorted.
torres
Do they do this for other sports? Rugby is really just a scrap on some grass!
camffiti
Top level football, where players are already financially set for life, heading is dwindling in both quantity & quality It's clear some players are only willing to head the ball, with their (thicker) forehead plate The further down the football (& financial) pyramid you go, where players are still trying to 'make it', the better heading ability you'll see
