Here’s today’s starting lineup..

Recommended Posts

Jesus Christ I am finding it hard to stand by the give Monk time ethos with that line up. What’s the point of paying loan fees for players to sit on the bench.  What’s the point of having Fletcher, Nuhiu and Wickham all on the bench either, 3 versions of the big man up front, I personally can’t see that side giving a very average Birmingham side a game today.

It’s really REALLY starting to p**s me off how that f**king joke of a footballer Joey no tackles keeps getting a starting place.

The guy is absolutely dreadful, he’s in affective and he keeps on turning out s**t performance after s**t performance week after week and still gets a starting place.

I have always backed Monk as I believe the problems at the club go way higher than him but he’s really not helping himself here.

Was prepared to give Monk the benefit and a chance but deary me... that lineup

Last month he was bemoaning that we weren’t creating enough chances for our strikers..... so he goes out and signs 4 more strikers

2 weeks later he plays no strikers

Did he just chuck all the shirt numbers up in the air and see where they landed?

Soak it up and bang them on the counter.

I get the theory.

Pelupessy

Lee            Bannan

Murphy       Forestieri           Harris

Shame that Fox isn't ready to start yet and the shuffle moves Iorfa again.

Muprhy has earned a recall and Forestieri has been lively

No Reach with his toe injury so Harris an obvious call.

We can mump and moan about Joey, Dawson etc. But the press conference made it quite clear that nothing will change on that score.

Unless the players change... so we're just going to have to crack on with it folks and get behind the lads that play.

Let’s be charitable and optimistic.

50mph winds out there. Maybe, just maybe, Monk has drilled into them to get the all down and play it to feet, with the tiny Bannan, Lee, Murphy, Forestieri, Harris, Joey being ideal for this.

Maybe?

Yeah something new that has been given some thought?

Pelupessy? Bannan? We’ll just get by-passed again. There are questions whether FF is even a striker, monk plays him up there on his own

Who do we play in the middle then? Also, FF as played a striker role previously.

The team will certainly be set up to counter attack rather than playing aimless balls!!

Do you mean “shuffle” in the way God meant it to be used, or in the “Monk is shuffle” OT filter way?

I think it works either way.

The tactical shuffle Holmers!

Though we have also been defending 'shuffle' of later as well!

Think you can drop Forestieri deeper than that on the teamsheet.

Think it is close to strikerless as we are going to see. Think Forestieri will drop into gaps with Bannan and look to play Harris and Murphy in.

It is designed to counter well.

Like I said it works brilliantly or completely falls apart as players cant get the way to play it.
