@KeiranMaguire on twitter has posted financial info for Championship teams on twitter this morning. Grim reading for us mainly:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Championship net spend per club just £1.5 million as many clubs business model is to sell at a profit to cover losses rather than buy. <a href="https://t.co/A1VqOnxpwJ">pic.twitter.com/A1VqOnxpwJ</a></p>&mdash; PriceOfFootball (@KieranMaguire) <a href="https://twitter.com/KieranMaguire/status/1231165607376302081?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 22, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Give us a summary then, your post is gobbledygook.

Apologies... Really screwed that post up and it won't let me edit it now.

My take - we've not spent nearly as much as other clubs but without parachute payments we've really gone ott.

Does that really say we spent nearly 13 million on transfers.... last season?

Guessing this is including fees we are paying over a period of time for Rhodes and Reach and maybe others?

My memory isnt great but didnt we only sign Hector and Onamah on loan then Iorfa in the jan window?

I've got a feeling this is a mix of 17-18 and 18-19 data. Ours looks to be 17-18.

Just goes to show that with a quality coach and system, you can still do very well without risking the club’s future financially.

It’s not just about the amount you spend.

Wycombe are a great example, they've been owned by a Supporters Trust for several years. In that time they've gone from the bottom of League 2 (staying in the football league on the final day) to the top 2 of League One and are on course for the highest finish in the club's history. They've also stuck by Gareth Ainsworth during that time and he's now the longest serving manager in the 92 clubs.

They've had a takeover go through this week by an American so it'll probably all go pear-shaped for them now.
