What about Forestieri and Hooper.

In fact mate, delighted you brought this up.

Hooper - brilliant finisher.

Forestieri - brilliant finisher.

As a pair - barren.

Fletcher - average finisher

Rhodes - hopeless with others

As a pair - wow!

4 goals in 17 games together.

Carlos's biggest mistake. He found a way to nullify our two biggest goal threats.

How many did we win of them 17 games. As when we reminisce about the Carlos days. Those two were upfront with Bannan on the left in the best team people post of his. So must have worked to a certain degree.

Absolutely not.

People who post that are in a haze of romantic fumes. The team simply stopped scoring when CC shaft his pants and put these two together.

You know what I mean though dont you. Perhaps people are just shoehorning in the best Carlos era players into any formation just like the master himself.

I know full well.

It it took many sessions of electro therapy and beta blockers to stop me thinking about just how dire we were with Bannan left and an FF-Hooper front two.

And yet to some “those were the days”.

This came up earlier discussing briefly with @Inspector Lestrade and @gurujuan

who were pretty dismissive of anyone who has partnered Fletcher this season.

Here’s the Fletcher-Rhodes pairing this season:-

Millwall Away - 25 minutes - no team goals

Swansea Home - 7 minutes - 1 team goal

Brentford Home - 45 minutes - 2 team goals - Fletcher 2

Derby Away - 72 minutes - 1 team goal - Fletcher

Forest Away - 87 minutes - 4 team goals - Fletcher Rhodes 3

Hull  Home - 30 minutes - no team goals

266 minutes in tandem

8 team goals

Team goal every 33 minutes (compared to every 82 minutes otherwise)

Fletcher 4 goals

Rhodes 3 goals

As soon as Fletcher is back I hope this is given a few games to see if this really promising early courtship could blossom into a fabulous long-lasting marriage.

In what effing parallel universe has Rhodes ever been impressive?

Your stats are massively swung by 45 minutes at Forest. Without that they would underline nothing. Since that 45 minutes the Rhodes has turned up.

Look again. No they aren’t.

18 goals from the team in the 612 minutes they played together.

It might be a freak 612 minutes. But shouldn’t we find out? Fek all else works.

I haven't seen any 3 season comparison, as I couldn't be arsed reading the whole thread. I still haven't. I responded to your OP.

Here you are.

16/17 - 245 minutes - 7 team goals - goal every 35 minutes

17/18 - 101 minutes - 3 team goals - goal every 34 minutes

19/20 - 266 minutes - 8 team goals - goal every 33 minutes

That’s not selective. It’s every minute we’ve played with a Rhodes-Fletcher front two.

During the same period we’ve scored a goal every 75 minutes without the partnership.
