Exactly.

People were calling Monk clueless for playing Fletcher in an FA Cup tie after he got injured.

It's got to the point now, where some fans will just not accept any decision Monk makes. And it's ridiculous.

The Barnsley game was a prime example. All week on here, post after post, people stating the NEED for him to start with the front four he picked. After the game, he's "tactical inept" for picking that side.

If Hutchinson and Westwood are training with the U 23s, their names should be appearing at least as elder statesmen on the bench. If they are fit footballers, where else are they going to be even near the pitch?

If Monk has deemed them surplus to requirements, for whatever reason (it's irrelevant whether you agree or not as to why), why would you deny our very own youngsters the opportunity to play in their own age level, in preference for two overaged players with no future at the club?

It makes no sense whatsoever to play them for the Under 23's.

Match fitness? Who would even take them if their contract were paid up?

What’s it matter to us if we paid them up? I would have them gone if they have no future... Thanks but no thanks boys now get on your way.

Youngsters should be in the u23’s not aged professionals with no chance of a first team game.

But there is no action about paying them up, although it is possibly going on behind the scenes. I hope it is. It is not fair to put them with the juniors and not allow them to appear. Jos got a lot of stick for excluding them and the current regime ought to be taking some action. To imply they spoil the dressing room atmosphere requires a move of some disciplinary action or paying them up.

Match fitness for what?

Even if we paid up their contracts and released them, they couldn't play for anybody until next season anyway.

So, like I said, there is literally, no point, playing them in the Under 23's... unless Monk changes his stance, and starts to consider them for the first team.
