From hero to zero

All this and no-one has a clue what he has done, said or acted like - or whether that warrants being frozen out of the picture.

People forget how situations change very quickly.

Let's say Monk gets the boot, Hutchinson gets brought back in and is critical to a real upsurge in form - is he still a bad guy or just someone who voices an opinion and wants to win?

We literally have no idea who’s in the wrong here. We’re only getting Monk’s POV...

But...

Bullen, Carlos, Stuart Gray and Bruce clearly saw no issues with Hutchinson or Westwood.

Monk and Jos did.

Our worst football has been under Monk and Jos...

You can't count Bullen...

He knew damn well he had to do summat different to Jos...The ONLY thing he could do different was to bring Westwood and Hutch back..because he's not a manager..he's a diplomat who tries to keep the cart on the tracks.

I'm not blaming him for doing that and its obvious he has feelings for the club...but he knows what happens with the "top" job...you get sacked.

Funnily enough..Bullen survived the initial coup when SG wasn't given a chance to spend some cash he had never had access to before..was that a mistake in hindsight?

We will never know, but DC showed him no mercy whatsoever..While Jos gets a throw at it..and Monk?...who knows.

Carlos got extended time...Why?...Cos he was DC's first pick, the bloke takes ages to admit a mistake...and to be fair...both DC and and Carlos were the one game offa laying the golden Eleph...errr....egg.

So here we are now...No further down the line than than we were under Stuart....and the last few weeks...?

its like watchin' a clowns car slowly fall to bits...You either laugh at it or howl at the moon

Devils advocate....

Under Carlos KW was only out of the team when injured, straight back in when fit

Bruce never had cause to drop KW as he wasn't here long enough

Bullen bought them both back after Jos dropped them and fans were screaming for them

Or that Westwood and Hutchinson are just as frustrated as us, and are sick of DC hiring two absolutely clowns in Monk and Jos.

Both of our opinions have potential to be accurate. But I just don’t want fans to hang players out to dry when we have no proof as to what’s gone off, other than Monk’s version of things.

All I know is that we’re sorely lacking in leadership on the pitch and theres a massive gaping big hole in our CDM spot where Hutchinson would be massively handy.

We don’t know if he’s just voiced his opinion though do we, or something more serious. The fact he’s been banished completely would suggest the latter

Carlos rightly got extended time, because he had just reached the play offs twice. In fact, in the light of what has happened since, he probably should have been given more time.

If the club ends up flirting with or even worst, gets relegated, I'll be fecking furious at the behavior of all these parties involved.

They really should be ashamed of themselves - playing and managing a championship club on good money; they act like children and affect the whole club. It's pathetic.

Allegedly

It paled towards the end tho'....But its a fair point.

Do you give a bloke who got a decent side going more time to build another ?

You probably should...

We don't really know what has gone off with these two but think its safe to say they have big egos.

Can't over indulge players everytime like in the past so giving benefit of the doubt to Monk over this.

Giving the benefit of the doubt to a bloke who is so petty he wouldn’t follow the usual football ritual of shaking hands with a rival manager. I’d have fined him for that.

It’s all a sideshow, neither him nor Westwood have been involved, but we’ve still been dire, we can’t use this as an excuse. If Monk wanted to leave him out, fair enough, then use the other options, as he has done. If he thought Hutchinson would be missed, he had the January window to do something about. On all fronts, these are Monk’s decisions, and he will be judged on how he handles them. The problem is not Hutchinson training with the U23s, it’s the pigs ear Monk is making of our season. It’s his mess, and he needs to own it

Monks comments about the make up of the Dressing Room are enough for any fan without blinkers on to read between the lines. Frozen out by 2 Coaches out of 3, old & injury prone...time to get rid.

For me, Hutchinsons been one of the main men over the last 4 years, the one to get the team and crowd going and being an old school footballer I've loved seeing him throw himself into every tackle. Unfortunately, as you mention, clashes with the manager seems to be happening too often to the point it can't always be the managers fault... can it? It's a shame that the way its going this is what he'll be remembered for. Hopefully the balls in his court to be able to come back and play his last few matches before the inevitable happens of moving him on.
