Can somebody please explain......

Liam Palmer is nowhere near as bad as people make out.  He's an international and would arguably start for most other Championship teams. He has his flaws but is more than solid.  Plus he has proved he can play on both sides and to be fair would probably do a better job in central midfield than the current lot.

He's not an International. He plays for Scotland.

The question is who else??

None of the other back 4 or keeper

Lee? Nope

FF?? Da Cruz?? Harris?? Nope

Nuhiu?? Nope

JP is the only one that would be close to it

Which goes to show the lack of leadership on the pitch.

This isn't just this season it goes back numerous seasons

What made the assist for the first so clever was it was in a corridor of uncertainty...

- Well weighted so the keeper wasn't sure whether to come out

- Central so the full back wasn't sure whether to track

- Between the CBs giving them a decision to make on who intercepts it

- To a runner on the blindside so the CBs didn't know if it even needed intercepting

To blame the defence (and one particular defender) entirely takes away from the skill of the pass and run.

If goals were as simple to prevent as they appear in hindsight nobody would watch football as every game would finish 0-0.

Still, let's crucify someone, if we do it enough they might even take their own life.

Was a good run and a decent move but a lovely through ball. The full back should be tracking the runner better and Börner had a quick look but the pass took him out of the game. I think that stopping the pass was the only way to stop that goal.

Poor !!

What does that say about the rest?

He was one of the better performers.

Not for me.

Cowardly on the ball. Showed no composure. His only intention when he got the ball was to launch it forward in the general direction of Nuhiu.

I'm not saying he was the worst player...but just because others were poor around him, doesn't make him any better.

Fair point to be honest.

Our centre halves will be disappointed with the goal, but the assist was absolute perfection. Not only threaded through a small opening, but weighted perfectly also.

Thought Ejaria and Swift looked top players for Reading today, and we're the difference in a game of little quality.

The positional play of Iorfa is not good ( acquired as a right back) and Borner has been shown to be a little flat footed.
