Its not important at all Can’t disagree with the latter half of your post. You’re right. That said, it remains something people are passionate about. People spend a LOT of money doing it. And - probably more importantly than the money - time. People dedicate their time following this sport, this team, allover and wherever, season in season out and for years. We’ve had worse teams than this and been in worse spots as a club, but I don’t think I’ve ever felt as utterly insulted by a football “team” as this. Worked out just this morning that in my 52 years Ive seen 5 promotions, and us in the top flight for 18 seasons. 6 relegations.
