SallyCinnamon
Two years was silly at the time. But then again he was playing very well under Bruce. Remember that game at Elland Road, we lost 1-0 but Westwood was absolutely unbelievable. He was going through a bad spell under Monk until he was frozen out. The correct thing to do would have been to take him out for a few games. I still think he’s a better option that Dawson or Wildsmith, whilst he’s under contract.

The correct thing was to take him out and put Dawson in. Then Dawson made just as many mistakes if not even more so Westwood should have come back in? Wildsmith was injured at the time so was the right thing to do .... but as we know , guess, speculate or both of them deny it for now something happened behind the scenes so monk couldn’t go back cus that bridge had been burned ! Westwood still has one thing the other two don’t and that is he commands his area better and communicates with defence better imo . But that ship now sailed let’s hope he moves for all parties sakes

He was going through a bad patch and needed to be taking out the firing line. Instead he got completely frozen out and won’t play again.

Agree he’d made a few errors but how many did Dawson do straight after? Wotever was said at training ground that was that? Heard few different things like we all have but Westwood still imo the best out of those

Themagiccap
One we should look at WILLIAMS NEARS CHAMPIONSHIP SWITCH Randell Williams is closing in on a move to the Championship, with Barnsley, Stoke and Preston all interested. The winger was named in the League Two Team of the Season after helping Exeter reach the playoff final. Williams is also comfortable playing at wing back, where he spent much of last season, and provided more assists than any other player in the division (17).

Exeter have just got £4.5m from the Watkins sell on clause. Williams won't be cheap, and we cannot afford free agents so it very very unlikely. Besides if we signed him Monk would probably play him out of position and make him basically redundant, one bad game we would never see him again unless he changed his name to Randell Harris. At least Monk knows that Windass does not play the same position as Bannan

The Night-Owl
All the talk of Westwood, just highlights how poorly managed on and off the pitch we have been ever since Wembley and for numerous years. Extending contracts of players past their best, not getting rid of players whilst they still had resale value and not freshening up the squad. We're paying the price for that short-sightedness and we'll probably still be a mid table Championship club at best for another decade as a result, if we stay up this season. Unless we smarten up long term off the pitch and start nurturing players we can sell on in order to strengthen. Tiny chance that may change. Centre back who cost Arsenal £27million. Looking for his 2nd successive season long loan to St Etienne. The paper work fell through and he looks set to stay there. I’m sure there will be plenty of domestic suitors. Also not sure if prem sides can still loan domestically. Just a player who would in usual circumstances be impossible to loan. Better for him to be out on loan rather than sat in their under 23’s. Again very unlikely, but wouldn’t be surprised to see him come to the championship now. Good call! Looks set to join a championship club on loan with Brentford leading the way according to the BBC sport gossip column.
