Fulham have signed Areola on loan from PSG.

Means they have Areola, Rodak and Bettinelli as their GK options.

I know we’ve said that we’re not looking at getting a keeper in. But I’m nervous about not having a clear number one. Bettinelli will surely be heading out on loan and be interesting to see who gets him.

Edit: never mind. He’s gone to boro.

I take it Rodaktit  1st choice with Bettinellitit stand by and Areola in the middle.

IMO you need a balanced midfield of different talants, especially in the championship.

A ball winner, a playmaker and a 'water carrier' as Didier Deschamps put it.

Wasn’t it Cantona who labelled Deschamps as just a water carrier?

Before coming here Luongo had the best tackling stats in the league at qpr

Interesting I didn’t know that. Thought he has looked a bit weak in that department. Perhaps we are yet to seethe best of him?

I don't think it was tackles, I think it was interceptions. The season before he joined us Luongo had the most interceptions in the division.

Paolo Maldini, one of the greatest defenders in history once said "If I have to make a tackle, then I have already made a mistake".

(Sorry for the lack of breast puns, but I did include 'tackle' in there a couple of times).

It was tackles definitely.

To QPR fans they are just distant mammaries now though.

It was tackles, with 3.8 per game

Next up was Joe Williams at Barnsley with 3.2.

Curtis Davis had the most interceptions with 2.7 per game. Luongo had 1.5

Fair enough, I must have remembered it wrong.

Decent move for Winnall. Good club Oxford. Think he will do well for them in that league.

I've never forgiven Oxford for the time we played them in the cup

Their then chairman Robert Maxwell doubled the price of the tickets for us Wednesdayites

While he counted the money

We counted the goals

We won 3-0

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.
