Exactly, if we are talking about an option from the bench, I actually think Nuhiu offers more as an impact sub. Not necessarily saying we should bring him back, but if we are looking to upgrade our strikers, I want us to do better than Jukiewicz

That would be both him and Rhodes sat on the bench, because apart from half a dozen sub appearances a season, offers nothing.

WalthamOwl
Surely our recruitment team have managed to find a couple of players that offer more than Nuhiu. It’s a big wide world out there! Maybe we could have him on a month to month contract because the only time he looks anything like a player is when his contract is running down. Popular Post swfcGibbo
The negativity is absolutely ridiculous around here. With the formation we are planning to play, a minus 12 starting position and long term financial restrictions we should have never released Nuhiu in the first place. He shouldn't be our main striker but you've got to appreciate the Number 9 may take a little more time to find. For now Nuhiu should absolutely be an option. Experienced, knows the club, great with the younger players. He'd have been one of those out of contract I kept; especially given the verdict and points deduction. Every club seems to be cutting their cloth accordingly. Derby are selling two of their best players and have thus far signed a 35 year old goalie and a couple of relative unknowns. A number of clubs limped to a defeat against lower league teams in the cup (lets be real it was a glorified friendly). We need to scratch and battle for every single point this season. It'll be disgusting to watch but having a player like Nuhiu is not a bad thing. 12

Kachunga has spent most of his career playing on the wing and you only have to look at the stats for the last 3 season where he plays most of the time (81% of 75 games) and his goal return (4 in 75 games) to suggest he is not a striker and Windass has spent most of his career playing central midfield. But if it make you happy you just keep thinking we have signed two strikers you go right ahead. 6

Isn’t the point more that when Kachunga was played as a striker he was more productive than he was on the wing?
