TheEnchanter
This is what we are going to face with strikers. Tough competition. It might get to a desperate stage. We can't afford a slow start.
Bloxwich Owl
According to Sky Sports, Preston North End have agreed personal terms with Wigan Athletic winger Jamal Lowe. It’s claimed that Preston are now trying to agree a fee with Wigan’s administrators, having found no problems striking a personal agreement with Lowe. That may be a problem in itself for North End, but there are a couple of other issues – and they come in the form of Millwall and Swansea City. Both Swansea and Millwall are thought to have agreed terms too, meaning Preston are in a three-way fight for Lowe’s signature, and may have to hope that Lowe wants to stay settled in the North West. Lowe was left out of Wigan’s 2-1 friendly defeat against Carlisle United ahead of an exit, and North End appear to be one of his potential exit routes. TheEnchanter
Decent player Jamal Lowe. Probably not what we need though. If we can get Murphy we have our winger.

Not bad going. He’s always going to pick up knocks. I was joking but a player of his ilk wouldn’t be a bad thing as 3rd or 4th choice at the right price. Back up and a wealth of experience. Or weather he'd want to come back? He signed when we were chasing promotion not chasing a 12 point deduction down and with a sqaud that's looking at mid table. Besides the league over there isn't exactly what you would call strong and ful of quality. Probably like Messi turning up in Scotland Edited August 24, 2020 by shezzas left peg

Only thing that may swing him the other way is our lack of strikers which means he’d literally walk into the first 11. Maybe he doesn’t like them after being at West Brom. I hope so anyway
WalthamOwl
Would signing Lowe on a permanent be a better move than signing Murphy on loan, that’s if Newcastle let him out on loan again.

They've been signing players for fun. They have about 37 on their books according to Wiki. Wonder if any are worth a look at.
