Wednesday Fan Posted February 8, 2020 Share Posted February 8, 2020 I too was one of those who said give the guy a chance but I feel he’s had that chance and not performed. A few good saves over a few matches is not the consistency required of a top level keeper. He’s a poor reader of the game and makes too many unnecessary mistakes. Will he improve? I hope so. Keep him in when he may be liable to miskicks, go with Westwood who has made mistakes this season? or go with Wildsmith who hasn't played for a couple of years, still is inexperienced and made mistakes when he last featured too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dawson is not good enough, Westwood is seemingly past it and/or has a bad attitude and god knows what’s happened to Wildsmith but he seems shot. He makes mistake after mistake after mistake. Westwood is far better. Will monk put him back in? No chance Will that ultimately cost him his job? Singing The Blues Posted February 8, 2020 Share Posted February 8, 2020 I've defended playing dawson over Westwood for as long as I can remember as I think Westwood has the same mistakes in him but it's just like Dawson isn't developing as he should be, he just isn't learning from his mistakes.
