Giving interviews to the broadcast media doesn’t come naturally to everyone, and he fidgets which is a sign of nerves. Couple that with the fact that you know there are a million angry halfwits on Twitter dying to twist your words against you and I can imagine it’s more difficult than it looks.

Listen to him when he gives some form of interview.

Form your own opinion.

Get back to us.

I was once sent on a presentation skills training course many years ago. I fink my Manger fawt I woz fick.

Any way, the one thing I remember is the teacher telling me the key to successful presentation is making your point, repeating that point, and concluding with the point you are trying to make once again. I conclude his media training has tought Monk the same thing.

I also recollect Alex Ferguson's post match interviews. Unteligble nonsense every time, but he knew how too win a football match...

Most Managers are rubbish in interviews.

Most of the interviewers are pretty rubbish too.

Just something they have to get through.

We get the Manager interview criticism threads for almost every Manager we have.

I happen to know that 97% of all people have below average IQs.

Luckily Monk (like myself) belong in the other 5% ;)

How many GCSE's did you get?

And is that part of the criteria for successful football management?

I suspect Ron Atkinson and Harry Redknapp didn’t go to Oxford or Cambridge. But they got the best out of what they had.

Although I draw the line at Paul Gascoigne, I think he’s a bit confused.
