Hopefully he is serious and the line up on Saturday shows some major changes. I’d rather we put in the likes of Shaw, Borukov and Hunt than the senior pros who aren’t putting in the effort. You can now see why after just a few months of working with these players Steve Bruce wanted out. The problem for the players however is you can only do that so many times before fans start to look at the one constant though years of failure and abject performances and that is the players themselves. Garry Monk has bought a single of these over paid wasters to the club and until he has chance to get some of them out of the door and rebuild the squad with his own players it would be very harsh to lay the blame with him. The alternative would be to get rid of Monk and stick with the same tried and tested system of failure, by sticking with these players and bringing in the next chump who they can let down as they have every manager before him. Lets not forget we were 3rd a few weeks ago. However there is obviously an issue, and I don’t blame the manager at all. This is down to the players. Monk needs time to reshape the squad. I used to love FF but he can do one, JR can follow, he’s never gonna be the player he used to be! We need young, hungry players that want that to play for this shirt! He may even end up leaving before some of the players he's considering - that's just football. Good managers get that extra 10% out of players through motivation and passion. We are also not in the worst danger of relegation unless They decide otherwise. So now it was a good time to come out in public and say what is already very obvious to everyone.
