Nope, he's on a 4 yr signed in 2017. If you're getting your info from sites like transfer market, afraid they wrong!!!

He signed in January 2017 mate and signed a three & a half year contract. That ends this summer. You don’t tend to sign 4 year contracts in January as you’re then out of contract in the middle of the season

He joined Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent basis on 1 July 2017

And to be fair, it was Feb 1st he signed on loan!!!

In what respect?

Presumably the match you were at wasn’t the one where we had the bigger possession stats and were leading when Rhodes was substituted? All with supposedly 10 men?

So what’s  your solution - are you going to pay the rest of his wages for the remainder of his contract.

Simple question - how do you suggest he’s moved on?

This thread doesn’t achieve anything really does it?

Other than undermine what bit of confidence and usefulness he does have.

It’s helping no one for him to still be at Hillsborough. His confidence looks zero and his contribution is negligible. For whatever reason he’s just not able to contribute at all in any way. We’ve all said it a million and one times but whatever happened to the player he once was, it’s gone. No point in slagging him off. Quietly drop him, free loan up to Scotland where we can score a shed, and sell him if the chance arises, or allow his contract to expire whenever. The Rhodes project has ended, it’s a failure, let’s move on.

Does he really want to leave - he’s probably ha e to take a wage cut.

Saw at Forest the ability is there, but I don’t see any appetite in him.

Call  me cynical but I don’t think he cares anymore. SWFC have set him financially up for life, the phrase “stealing a wage” comes to mind.

Maybe he doesn't want to leave.....in this case we need to persuade him to go

Winnall was Equally ineffective but ended up getting his goal so fair does.

i wanted Nuhiu on earlier to be honest - we looked much stronger up top as soon as he came on.

Controversial- worst player ever to play according to some

Got to hand it to him, several clubs ( including us ) have forked out huge fees to secure his services and have paid him massive wages into the bargain.

He must thank his very lucky stars every night.

To be fair to Rhodes , between 2012-2016 he'd scored 89 in 177 championship appearances!!, that's pretty impressive . Alas we spaffed a shed load when he was starting his downward slump!

Not seen any mention of Van Aken either, still got another year on his contract, can't see him having a future here, so just get him sold for whatever you can get, cut losses and bring a bit back into budget. Then sign Wickham asap!!!!

Van Aken is doing well at Onsabruck by all accounts.  Been in the starting 11 94% of games, they're 6th in the league with the 2nd lowest amount of goals conceded.  Who knows what will happen to him (stay or go), but he's certainly putting himself in the shop window more than Rhodes did last night...

Nuhiu

Sorry can't agree that Rhodes contributes more than Nuhiu. Rhodes did nothing but be on the pitch last night.

Nuhiu comes on holds the ball up, releives pressure and brings other players into the game.

That second goal was a goal of beauty, Nuhiu dropped deep received the ball to his feet played a lovely crossfieid ball in front of Reach who didn't have to change is stride. This gives Reach the time to pick out Winnall with a magnificent ball before he gets closed down.

Too many of our fans look at what Nuhiu can't do rather than focusing on what he is good at.

How many headers did Rhodes win? How often did he hold the ball up and start play from the QPR half?

I thought he did ok application wise. He has lost so much acceleration though its unbelievable. To be fair the only quality ball we put in was in the 91st minute despite numerous chances. We should have been 2 or 3 up at half time had the final ball been any better.

Can blame the strikers all you want but we don't create enough clear cut chances for them to score regularly, regardless of who is up top.

Not a Murphy fan...but hey he worked hard to get some great crosses into the box......cut out the goalie several times.......sadly JR is not bothered.....the service was there...JR wasn't......GET SHUT !!!

Don't think it's that easy, who would take him on whist performing like this, especially with the wage demands.

Amazing isn’t it? The team win - with a solid team effort.

And, some posters still want to criticise and ostracise individual players.

I don't get this comment. Surely we're allowed to celebrate a good win, but also look at where we can improve as a team? If that improvement means accepting that individual players are weak links, aren't we allowed to make that observation? It's not personal to Rhodes, but why can't we make the point that his contribution to last night was minimal, and that it's typical of his contribution over the time he's been with us, therefore as we've talked this to death we have to accept we need to move him out as soon as possible? Or are we expected to just mindlessly boo when we lose and cheer wildly when we win, like imbeciles at a cr*p pantomime?
