Alex Hunt - Nothing Compares 2 U

Recommended Posts

So is it just me that thought he actually looked a bit kicky when he came on?

lol

Pretty sure I saw him whistled for couple of fairly narky fouls. Got a reyt scowl on him an’ all. Genuinely thought he might have to calm it down a bit!

:ghoulguy:

Did well overall, hope to see more. Nice one young ‘un!

He's too small, can't see him making it as a pro. Small players who make it like Scholes had a bit of bite about their game but this lad looks like a child. At 19 he should have been smashing the gym to get an advantage... new bodybuilders can gain 20-25 pounds of muscle in year 1 yet this lad looks the same size as he did 18 months ago against Sunderland. So either he's not training properly or more likely he doesn't have the right genes for it.

It's harsh but it's the reality

Not a great idea to be hitting the weights while you're still growing if you want to maintain muscle elasticity etc

Better than any of the three midfielders that started tonight, those that say Bannan is premier class got your answer tonight ,another worth a start is Waldock.

City manager disagrees with you about Bannan.

Been polite mate, probably one of only a few he new the name of, said we were a good side. Face facts, City went through without breaking sweat, probably work harder in training.

Was worried looking at size of him when he came on but did well and wasn’t overawed in the slightest

Did you see the size of the young Chelsea player the other night? Very similar but ended up as MoM..

Don't think he'll be putting a bid in any time soon, do you?

That Billy what’s his face that came on for Chelsea against Liverpool was very young and slight but he wasn’t half a belting player.

Im delighted to see youngsters like that given a chance. The are so pleased to be given the opportunity so consequently they don’t swan around stealing a wage.

Thought Hunt did well and wasn’t bullied out the game by one of the best teams in Europe.

I’d like to see a midfield 3 of Bannan, Luongo and Hunt.  Murphy, FF and Fletcher up top.  Hopefully Luongo will be fit again soon

My worry are players in the Championship who can only play by roughing up, players like Chris Martin,

if the young lad can handle it then hopefully he will have a bright future.

3 appearances now and he's looked better with each one. Lovely ball into Fletcher!

He clearly wasn't ready when he made his debut for us 18 months ago, but that's the way it is with the kids as it can be hard to predict how they'll take to the step-up. He certainly looks much closer now.

Yet to appear for us in the league so that'll be the next test for him. Hopefully we can pitch him in before the end of this season.

He's obviously got something about him, he's still very young and he's been presumably training with the first team quite a lot since his debut last season, by all accounts his strength his ability on the ball (we saw a glimpse of that with the ball to Fletcher at the end of the city game), but the especially pleasing thing is he doesn't seem to get bullied, which is great for a lad of his age and size.

Would love to see him involved more in the coming weeks, would be great if he can cement a place as we'll have some gaps in centre midfield for him next season, with presumably no Hutchinson, Pelupessy, and maybe Lee
