Why Monk thought Bannan could play the deeper of the 3 midfielders I will never know, he lacks the defensive side of positional awareness, excellent when going forward but very poor when there is space. In congested areas, ie under the cosh, it doesn't get noticed as much as there are other players close. Both he and Winnall ineffective so far...but at least some tenacity from Winnall Harris has wasted every single crossing opportunity he’s had. Pelupessy is the weak link. They are just passing and running around him. Believe it or not - he didn’t pass the ball forwards once in the entire half! Dawson has looked really confident in the air. Very nice. Börner’s timing a little off tonight. Goal was awful from a QPR perspective. Sloppy defending and then keeper clanger. Fox’s celebration was more of a team talk. Quality. Looked a bit embarrassed to score that one. QPR there for the taking but we need more power up front. Nuhiu for Rhodes at HT. Or Borukov...just someone with a bit of power.
