if he stayed for certain we would have got relegated to league 1 , stuck with a 40 million wage bill what nearly trebled during his term ,we would have been totally crippled financially as those players were still under contract and no club out there would touch them ie abdi, david jones Rhodes. our turnover would have fallen in league 1 to 13-14 million still with the 40 million wage bill, instant embargo , points deductions and almost certain administration we in effect could easily have became the next Bolton or bury , luckily a lot of the deadbeats/deadwood have left at end of there contracts ,and a lot of our players contracts are up at end of this season so we aint in a dire mess as it could have been , we might still get a big points deduction this or next season which might relegate us but we wont be burdened by as big a wage bill and wont have a squad full of deadbeats draining the life out of this club so if we ever go down due to efl we can easily bounce back.

I hope it's as easy as you say.

the bounce back bit I mean.

The merest mention of CC and we’re already up to 10 pages. If nothing else, possibly the most divisive character we’ve had at the club for years, if not ever.

I likened him before to being the Brexit of the football manager world. No doubt we will still be talking about him in 20 years....

2play off disasters!!!!

You talk as if the play offs that first year was already nailed on. You are forgetting he got us massively over achieving to even get a sniff of the play offs, never mind the final. We should never really have been in contention. We simply weren’t ready.

You also conveniently forget in your rant, that Hull basically had better players in just about every position, brought about by their failure payments.

You’re re writing history mate.

At least be honest & keep it in context for fu*ks sake.

yes they were disasters, we got into them, then s**t ourselves, the second ones enough to bury an elephant with. we'd never know whether 'ull had better players or not, tactically our side went out unarmed.

but speaking of better players winning as you do, why weren't brighton in the final, they finished 3rd. and were easily the best side on paper, so they should have been in the final and won according to your logic.

if you think we did anything other than s**t ourselves, it's you who is attempting to re write history, but you do so every time your hero's name comes up.

Did he nick your car parking space or summat?  You do seem to have a real thing about him.

And chuck in one Danny Wilson brilliant player and bloke but jeez.  I know he was handed a poor hand but he should have never been offered it.

That third goal in the semi against Chelsea absolutely fantastic goal.  Think it was the third, might not have been Chelsea but what a goal will never forget it.

bank balance empty, trophy cabinet chopped up for firewood...

he had 2 great chances, his limited ability failed him and us.

he loves us because we wore him longer than any of the other dozen plus clubs he'd talked his way into.

Carlos didn't sign the players contracts on the clubs behalf and we have had opportunities to move some of them on since he left.

He created the first opportunity, we weren't a promotion contender or anywhere near expecting top 6 that 1st season, the performances & approach in the Huddersfield play-offs he does have to take a lot of responsibility for though.

The 2004/05 season was my most enjoyable watching us since the good days in the PL but 2015-16 comes close and the quality was far better.

I wonder how long it will be before some stop pinning all our ills at his door.

Imagine getting so triggered.

Bloke moved on two and a half years ago.

Some good bits and some not so good bits.

Took us to the brink of promotion, but we now probably paying the price for some of the failures of his time here.

Still - some people need to chill out. Yeesh.

Imagine Wilder with those players ??

We would have had a cigar on by February!!

Or Warnock for that matter (sobs)

It makes you wonder about the attitude within the club. We seem to accept second best in many ways from the first team to the academy. A trip to Wembley by some posters is seen as a great achievement.
