This smacks of the same. And yet here we are 2.5 years after that was launched and still operating. It's definitely rationale to think it's a cashflow issue but if you take in to account we're still operating by paying wages and our bills then I'd say it's more a case of wanting to reduce the amount having to be put in to the club short term than not having access to the funds to do so. 7 hours ago, bigdan2003 said: My main issue is the fact the club want us to renew by 10th Feb, off the back of Christmas. Last year the early bird deadline was 1st April. It wasn't, it was a similar date but they extended it to the end of February

We've already had people in this thread doing the maths on it to see if it's good value, but mistakenly working it out over 10 years. I really don't understand why the club are under-selling it so significantly, especially when by doing so it actually makes the whole thing even more confusing. Its crazy. To be fair, when buying a season ticket I doubt fans usually take into account what their money does for the club, they just want to get the best deal they can to watch the football. Otherwise people wouldn't be so happy to see that the price of 1-year season tickets has been frozen again.
Dan™
6 minutes ago, Ash76 said: Because you only pay for 10 Yet you receive at least 15, so it's being massively under-sold. I think the deal would have been much more attractive to people if they had just said it was a 15-year season ticket for the (current) price of 10, even though as it stands the offer is actually much better than that and everyone is still mostly turned off by it (going by this thread). It works out at just under £20 a game in the Kop and above £24 a game in the North stand over 10 years. That’s about what the prices were for POTG before Mr Chansiri put them up, so I’m not at all tempted by this, I’d expect a more significant saving for a 10 year commitment, just another desperate scheme that they know very few people will be sold by to get some quick cash in for a transfer window. Sums wrong works out about £13 - £15 per game on kop. Cheaper if don't get promoted in next 5 years

Thought you was talking about cashflow? The money has continued to go in even after selling very few 1867 packages. Like me I said I think you’re half right. The money is there, they’d just prefer other methods of funding. We get a reasonable offer for a player this window and we may just accept

Owl999
Probably some kind of smoke screen that looks official that allows money to be injected into the club under made up names, ie Mr D Taxis and Miss Ellie Vate, just my own opinion, if it really is genuine wow just wow . I thought the same last night and it wouldn’t surprise me. Maybe, 1000 made up names buy 10 year season tickets which brings in c£5.5m which allows us to use the funds in this window and bring in a couple of strikers in a desperate bid for promotion. It’s like DC is back down at the casino again.
