Absolutely not .. but its one way combined with all the other wacky ideas that the club have come up with to try and alleviate P&S struggles

But it cannot be used because the criteria before its is allowed as income in the accounts is promotion to the premier league.

So the knock on affect of fans who would buy season tickets buying one of these tickets instead it will actually make the P&S Situation worst by reducing our income next year and every year until we get promoted.

lol if I had been asked to put this idea out I think I would have been sacked for sarcasm. If this is chansiris idea then sorry and this isn’t a personal dig at all, it’s absolutely mental!!!! Both for risk to fans, and risk to lomg standing sustainability of the club if we had take up. ( luckily it will never get the take up)

if someone at the club or an advisor is giving him these ideas then he must be one of three things, either an absolute nut job like the jasper carrot character on the bus, a closet a blade or a comedian trying to get a laugh.

I just don’t know where we think them up

If they'd just let Mr C spend his money we wouldn't have to deal with all this crap every year.

the other teams in the league seem to find ways to get around the issue.

He could maybe sell a player or get of the millions being wasted each year on Rhodes, Winnall, Fessi and the rest sat in the stands but instead forget it is better for the fans to pay for everything.

But assuming all the people buying them would buy a ST anyway it doesn't alleviate P&S struggles. This is a cash flow thing.

I've no idea, i'm just making assumptions because its such a wacky idea ..

Its great value for money, but as I put, it could turn out to be a massive risk for all involved but then it depends how many there are for sale?

Cash flow problem, P&S, money laundering, loaning the club money

God knows!

Contrary to popular belief I ain't a psychic but I can see this almost certainly coming back to bite every single one of us on the bottom.

This is short term thinking sold as long term opportunity.

Totally weird...why would a supposedly cash rich business owner need to come up with schemes such as this?

Not read all the comments as this thread was 10 pages long when I got here.

The way how I see it is if you can afford a 10 year season ticket then great, if not then the prices have been frozen for 1 year tickets next season so that’s good too.

I’m sure there’ll be fans who see this as an opportunity to lay into the club and slate DC but we are where we are with regards to finances and at least he’s trying new ideas to raise finances while delivering value to those fans who can afford it.

Fair play to him I say.

God knows!

It sparks of DC has no money. Which considering he got £4m from Newcastle and £6m for Joao on top of the income he normally gets each season god knows where it has been wasted this season.

Just bought two for me and my bird with the blue nails from Rotherham.

Good value and much better than the locksmith I had to call out yesterday just to change the barrel.

But we have always been told that finance for Mr Chansiri is not an issue...so it is legitimate to wonder why a supposedly cash rich business owner would propose such a scheme.

It’s not as if we are short of empty seats that he is attempting to get a few quid for....

Tv money, if the whole game hasn’t imploded by then, will the clubs income if we get to the PL.

Income from tickets will small change by then.

Nobody's ever confirmed we got anything from Newcastle, intact I'm sure it's not even been resolved yet.

We didn't get £6m for Joao, we got £850k upfront then the rest of the fee is add ons over his contract length. Which works out at just over £1.2m per year.

Its not laying into the club it is potentially putting the club existence at risk.

Lets say every fan bought one who is a season ticket - great the club get £100m in but cannot account for any of the money as we have not been promoted, until the criteria of the deal I.e. promotion to the premier league is met none of the money can be recognised in any financial statements.

Next season the club has no match day income, the season after the club has no match day income and so on until we get promotions, which will be even harder as we will probably get hit with a points deduction each season for the level of losses.

Hopefully DC’s missus will buy 1000 for all her friends and family.

This could happen. We always have 10000 empty seats anyway. She could buy them all for a £45m+ investment in the club.

This is how we propose to accept our points deduction? 1 point deducted every year for 10 years. Sorted. Go get em Dejphon.

Why is there, if every season ticket fans who would buy a ticket anyway decide to then that money not in the accounts next year, every 2,000 fans that take the deal the club loses £1m of season ticket sales next year (using average price of £500).

We are already struggling with the losses limits and now the club want to increase the losses each year to get some quick cash in.

Has DC no money as this sparks more of desperation - like in days of old when season tickets were sold in January to help pay the bills over the summer (like we used to do)

It's a sensible offer and good value if you can afford it.

Key is it's limited availability

So yes if sold 2000 then would lose £1m a year after this year, but in grand scheme of things £1m not going to make a massive difference to FFP position.

However, on flip side those 2000 sales could bring in £10m which could make a big difference to this year's FFP losses And potential for next year's budget.

For example in 2019 accounts posted profit of £2m

If with this extra £10m income and reduced wage bill we posted a loss of say £12m then for FFP in the 20/21 year the previous 2 years FFP loss would only be £10m.

Given the FFP is a rolling 3 year period could give club room to maneuver next year as would be able to post losses of upto £29m and be within FFP limits.

This year is vital to take advantage of the profit included last year.
