The only player I think we have failed a medical for in the las30 years was Gavin Gunning (think it was him), who failed his medical, promptly signed for Birmingham, and after 2 games he promptly fell to pieces and missed the entire season.

Definitely Dodged the bullet then ? ......

Didn't Boyd play for 15 years without injury until he came to us .

Carlos non training methods scuppered anybody who used to be fit.

Plus it was rumoured the surface at the training ground wasn't helping.

MG every player that crosses the white line is prone to injury. each injury carries a multiplier effect. A little like a car once the head comes off the likelihood of the head coming off again increases exponentially. Time to weigh in and cut your losses !

Problem is fans, like car owners develop an attachment. The mistake only dawns on you once you are pounds out of pocket.

Our medical consists of watching a player being able to walk from his car into the training ground. If he manages that, then we sign him.

That's way too stringent mate..

Players turn up with a doctor's note and say I've been put on panel for 2 weeks...

I'll be back after that..

It must have because what I saw of him he was quality.

All very strange.

Watford fans loved him.

Played 32 times in the Prem.

Nothing in his career to suggest he was a bad egg, unprofessional etc.

And then he came to us. Wonder if one day we will find out the truth.

Obliviously an underlying issue with him hence a first team premier league regular signed for a championship side . He optimises how awfully run we are / have been Over the last few years
