On the flippingbench. Deal obviously not close to being completed. Disappointing.

Palace have been dogged by injuries recently. Once they get one or two back, I'm sure that'll free Wickham up. Chillax.

It’s just cheap journalism. Wickham to Wednesday is just easy click bait given Fletcher’s injury and Wickham’s successful previous  loan spell with us.

Any idea if they are close to coming back? Thing is with our shocking choice of players upfront we need players in ASAP.

Hodgson remarked on Benteke's likely return. Sounds like it's not far off. We do need reinforcements, but we can't dictate when they'll arrive. Beggars can't be choosers in the loan market.

Its a big if, but if we do sign him and if Conor is over his cruciate problems, our ex England fitness expert might be able to get him playing more regularly and up his price for Palace. He has til summer 2021 with them, so we need a pre-contract agreement and price for his value now, otherwise we could end up in a bidding war, or end up paying OTT for him.

he has to prove his UNDOUBTED fitness, and be a sizeable asset striker wise here on in, for us to consider taking him full time.

Yes players get injured all the time, but since DC took over we have started paying much higher wages that are unsustainable at legal EFL levels. Why waste a good chunk of our remaining allowance (if we can include our ground sale money in last seasons accounts, otherwise we are already in big trouble) on a player with a long, consistent history of injuries?

professionals at the club are handling this, we amateurs are not, but then we haven't been overly impressed with things the professionals have done at times.

Joao was on the bench against Reading, played in that game and then signed a few days later...

But yeah, let's all reach for the cyanide :duntmatter:

Some of the poo you read on here.

I'm going to set a pre match stall up selling laxatives, make a bloody fortune, some of our fans desperately need a dose.

Oh SiJ. The chances are in most cases if a deal was close to being completed said player wouldn’t be on the bench. I’m sure you would disagree with me if I posted that the earth was round.

It happens. Joao was one case, O'Grady was another. Remember the funny looks between him & Megson when he came on against us? It's a timing thing. Palace just happen to have a long sick list at the moment. It'll ease.

always quite liked O’Grady. Proper beast. Remember watching him play for us one night away at Scunthorpe, absolutely unplayable that day.
