BREAKING - club statement

Remarkable isn’t it that news outlets like BBC, Sheffield Star, Yorkshire Post, all had the prohibition notice as big news headlines. Many pointing out how the Leppings Lane  end of the ground was where the Hillsborough disaster took place etc etc.

The fact that the prohibition order has been judged invalid does not rate a single mention in any of these publications.

Without the SWFC club statement the sporting world would be unaware of yesterday’s judgement.

It's not really a surprise is it. Only what we are used to with any POSITIVE news. Nothing.

Do you think there are many outside Sheffield that are aware that we have been subject to such ridiculous sanctions.

Probably not.

No ticket sales available for the Cantilever for the Blackburn match yet.

If the prohibition notice has been overturned, can't we sell these again?

I assume SYP SAG SCC will immediately take steps to prevent this happening again?

Yeh, right.

How would we be able to highlight this further to see if anything is done?

After the witch hunt at our club we need to see that the response from the authorities is proportionate in this case

Sure SAG and syp will use this as an excuse to use draconian measures across both clubs. Can't see restrictions being lifted at ours now, SYP seem to find it difficult to handle football games. Makes you wonder if any other forces request support from SYP for their games like we get help from Northumbria etc?

I presume they will be stopping all homes fans access to Bramall Lane end before and after each game and making them detour round the block. If not absolute double standards. They have caused issues game after game but nothing done  why?

Unless there was a professor from Manchester in attendance it doesn't count. No action will be taken and no media outlets will report it.

Also before the banning order, why did we have to leave the end block of the north free when at Bramall Lane, they're allowed to sit as close as this?

Their smell acts as a natural safety barrier.

Sounds like the prohibition notice was overturned on a technicality with the judge banging heads together hence talks to try to reach an amicable settlement .

The other option is imposing a new prohibition notice, let's just see if the club and the authorities can work things out without the assistance of  cheer leaders

It’s to do with fire regulations apparently

Nothing to do with proximity to away fans

The biggest crime brought to attention in that link is the continued use of 'Sheffield fans' (or variants of). The game wasn't London v Sheffield, West v Sheffield or United v United... it was West Ham (the United bit being largely redundant) v Sheffield United.

Anyone heard if the old Wednesdayite car park will be open Saturday and if it is, any road closures to effect it??

Not sure, all the talk is about the exit via the lep end. Nothings been said about the road closures.

They are not selling tickets in the North for Millwall away either.

Maybe the exit via Leppings Lane will not come into force until after this game
