SiJ
Surprised no one started this thread earlier. Anyway, bo11ocks to them. Yes, they're in the Prem and very well run and what not, but they're still Brighton. Nearly ten years removed and they still haven't worked out that the whole *MASSIVE* thing was a joke. Let them get back to their derby with Palace. Edited January 5, 2020 by SiJ 1

All this big and small club stuff is balls. 20 years out of the top flight and a half full stadium that's falling down says we are not a big club. Brighton have a new stadium that's full every week and are hosting the likes of Liverpool and Man City every week. These so-called smalls clubs are bringing in a quarter of a billion a year with a worldwide TV audience. In the world of football these days, we are the tinpot club, not them. 2 1
Owls2k
Brighton fans spent years watching their team in a temporary stadium over an athletics track, fair play to 'em I say.

Point taken, but until they’re tuning in to watch SWFC, it’s not a particularly persuasive argument IMHO

The point is that only a handful of clubs in this country command a global audience. We are not one of them and neither are Brighton and Hove Albion.
theowlsman
Got to take your hat off to Brighton and what they’ve achieved. They can stick Jimmy Case and Steve Foster up their backsides though.
