They all worked absolutley tirelessly in that midfield today. On a day where we knew that the opposition would have the Lions share they kept their shape, closed down as a unit and used the ball quickly and efficiently.

Lee showed why he has been such a good player to us over the years with his effervescent display. All over the place getting a foot in and keeping the ball ticking over.

Luongo, brave and not afraid to get a whack. Looking, when safe to do so to burst forward and support the front line.

And praise too for Pelupessy.  Yes. So many times Brighton didn't make a pass, because he'd got himself in a good position, and stopped them making it. The unseen work. Not haring across and making blockbuster tackles, but getting in positions that stop that pass coming in in the first place. Really helped give is a good shape and gave the platform for Luongo to get forward.

Absolute Textbook away from home midfield perfromance from these lads.

Let's hope they get the chance to replicate against leeds.

There was a real balance. They link up really well and you could see the communication.

Delighted for them to have been given the opportunity and for ALL of them to have come in and done themselves proud.

Hopefully given Monk a bit of a headache....

A big headache.

Consummate away performance from these three.

Shape at the right times, Lee and Luongo breaking at the right times.

Pelupessy always holding things to the counter.

Well said that man, and it proves we can field a three in midfield and manage to exert some form of control

We need 3 in the middle  , teams not as good as Brighton have over run us in midfield lately .

Something I believe to have been true for 4 years.

Going back to our under use of Bannan and Lee in front of Hutch or Lopez in DC Year One. But that's old ground. .

Monk has in fairness attempted this before , tried to keep it tight and nick goals. But many mumped about us not playing two up top and not going for it.

A 4 year old conundrum.

Does anyone else remember Birmingham at home with Lee and Luongo in middle with Bannan and we controlled the first half!

Not surprised on how well they did today!

Which brings us to another part of it. Today our midfield players had options to pass to , meaning they didn't have to keep coming further and further back.
