Looks like the 6 weeks was perhaps optimistic. Looked bad.

Cue the posters with 20/20 hindsight saying we shouldn't have played him...

Season over. Can't understand why our best striker was risked in the FA Cup.

Crazy!!

No 20/20 hindsight it was common sense, surely.

I'd have played him, good chance to get fitness back up. This is just how it happens sometimes.

He's only missed a couple of weeks. His fitness won't have been massively affected.

Not when it's your only decent striker. We have seen what life is like without him and it ain't good.

For me he shouldn’t have played today to let someone else try and break into the team. Always been behind play the best team possible but fletcher on paper shouldn’t have started.

According to Monk it affected him a lot and he lost a fair bit of weight.

So playing helps him to put weight back on after having the shits for a bit?

Stupid decision to risk him.

I’d have played him as well today to get his fitness up.  It’s just very unlucky.  If it is a cruciate, its a major shame for him and us.  Not only does our playoff hopes go down in smoke but hes unlikely to be offered a new contract by us.  Real shame all round!
