Season over

Why have we even started him

Nothing game and he’s just come back

FFFFFFSSSSSSS

He's just come back from a virus, not a knee injury.

That injury could have happened today or next week - it's easy to say in hindsight that he shouldn't have played, but there's no legislating for something like that.

How can some not understand why fletcher was playing? Common sense says he needed the fitness. Season over for us if he’s out long term

Because they all work along the lines of hindsight.

Different story if he scores a hat trick for us to win...

Exactly.

If his knee has gone, then it looks like a freak accident which could have happened at any point.

You’ve got to question why Fletcher is playing in what is basically a meaningless cup game.

You need to rest your prized assets in fixtures in games like this.

He shouldn't be a Faberge egg.  He was working his way back to fitness.

I think the main takeaway is that we cannot count on Fletcher for any extended periods of time now

Good game for some match fitness after his time out...

It could have happened in any game but not sure he needed to play for match fitness today. He has only had a couple of weeks out and played 45 minutes in our last league game anyway.

We are so heavily reliant on him it seems a surprising risk to take.
