As we showed at Forest last weekend This ^ Luongo and Bannan should have enough quality and energy to cope with stoke
The only way is S6
Ironically, Hutch’s suspensions help him recover. Only change at Stoke, if poss, is Fletch back in. Same back 4 that finished yesterday.
Buzz
Luongo and hutch together! Bannan had been rubbish....
Beauchief Owl
Luongo, as in the two matches he's played we haven't conceded any goals and he is more likely to score than Hutch. He is also less likely to pick up a yellow card, five more for Hutch and that's another three matches he misses.
markg
Hutchinson Just a much better player
Maddogbob
Luongo for me, offers more in the final third. That said games are coming thick a fast so rotation will come into play.
Emerson Thome
With Luongo and Bannan in centre mid and Palmer covering Fox's concussion at left back, is there a case for Hutch at RB? He's played there before on occasions.

Both of these players are needed for different games but I prefer luongo Agree. However, away from home when you’d expect the opposition to be on you more, would a more defensive midfielder be a safer bet?

Now if Fox is out that would mean Odebajo at RB which obvs many fans will have a hissy fit about. But that’s what I’d go with.
theowlsman
So, I'm a central midfielder playing for Stoke. I can get kicked all over the pitch by Hutch, or play nicey nicey football with Luongo. Have any of you actually played the game? owls-swfc
Not sure about this suggestion (a bit off piste) but what about iorfa, lees, boner and hutch as a back four or a 3 /1 ...? Hutch started as CB at chelsea but never seen as much action at swfc.. But absolute Mint on the sporadic occasions whenever ive seen him playing there... Time and composure, can play and pick a long accurate ball out..... Beckenbuear esk stylie!
Dutch McLovin
For me Hutch is the first name on the team sheet !!! That said you don’t change a winning team so Luongo and Bannan for Stoke. If Fox is injured Palmer at LB and Odubajo RB.
oldishowl
Monk changed the position of all the back four on Sunday rather than put Odubajo on. Don’t see him picking him, effectively instead of Börner.
james o connor
Horses for courses . Games coke thick and fast so everyone will get time. I really rate luongo , even more so if fletcher isn’t back as we need all the goal scoring help we can get
pazowl55
Are stoke still a tall team (player wise). If so I am fully expecting the back four that finished the last match. And we will see the return of Hutchinson. Not going to want two player under 5"9 in the centre of midfield. DuttyTeabags
Bannan seems to play better alongside Luongo and as many posters have said gives us a certain dynamism and box to box that we don't have with Hutch sat in. Luongo shirt to lose.... Dawson Iorfa Lees Borner Palms Reach Luongo Bannan Fletch Harris Rhodes
