'The penalty is an absolute nonsense'

Recommended Posts

I would love to know what Keith Andrews has done to become the "top" EFL pundit on Sky.

I mean, he's ok, but a bit like Andy sodding Hinchcliffe he seems to be everywhere.

It's very soft I agree but we had one a couple of weeks ago when Odubajo got hauled to the ground by the striker and a penalty against him .. It happens Lee!!

To be honest I don't think it was a penalty.

That streaky tubby lump Lee Johnson sounds just like his daddy. Wonder if he'll be wearing a gilet or a sweater to the next game.

Lee claimed earlier in his interview that the referee apologised to him for getting it wrong, though I'm not sure if I believe him since he later claimed that anything said in the referees room should stay in there.

The Ref had been giving fouls like that..all afternoon all over the pitch...Fouls are given for that EVERY afternoon ALL over the pitch.

The player gave the ref a decision to make when he didn't have to....Nuhiu was going nowhere ..It was stupid

It was soft - but probably still a penalty.

I'd like to think for Bristol's sake though that this is merely Johnson's media take on it, but that behind closed-doors he's having a word in Rowe's ear about giving the ref a decision to make.

I remember after Odubajo's penalty a couple of weeks ago - ‘soft but you shouldn't give the ref the opportunity’ - would be a paraphrase of how Monk summed it up after that game.

If I were Bristol City's owner I'd be seriously thinking to make a managerial change.

They've invested heavily, and have done for a few years and they don't appear much better as a team than they were two seasons ago.

To many poor runs of results too, which yeah when you balance it with a number of significant great runs of results it looks passable on the league table, but the reality is that they ought to be doing much better.

Only mitigating defence, of course, is that they've had bad luck with injuries to forwards.
