Dawson

Recommended Posts

Good post. He is massively growing in confidence and quite obviously starting to believe he belongs there. For a goalkeeper that is crucial, and maybe something he didnt have before.

Keep it up Cammy lad.

(And how great is it to see Sheffield lads and Wednesday fans in the team?)

This is exactly how it should happen, an experienced Westwood taking the lead for the last few years and the younger keepers developing in the background.

The perfect ending would be to see Cammy overtake Westwood, lets not make it a negative.

Also lets not underestimate Westy's contribution to the development of Dawson.

No way back for Westwood unless dawson gets injured, he's certainly getting better game by game.

Its definitely Dawson's to lose but I've always advocated that no one should be gaurenteed a place in the starting 11.

It's up to Dawson to continue to work hard because there is a cracking keeper on the bench who will want to get back to the starting 11 and that goes for any player in the entire squad.

It’s Dawson’s to lose , but having one of the leagues best keepers biting at his heels is gonna he a challenge , if he pulls it off he’s clearly our No1 for many years to come

There will still be occasions when dawson is 'dropped' for a few weeks but its obvious that (baring injury) his periods out of the team will become increasingly short. Its somewhat interesting to think that it may NOT be westwood that replaces him when he is out of the side?????

Or Nicky Weaver's..which I suspect is far more important

Thats a very big point. Sounds like Kieron had been like a mentor for Cam and really helping him in all facets.

Definately a huge factor for him looking so competent now, so well done Kieron for that.

Becoming a solid goal keeper, be sad to see westwood go but his time here is almost done

Wrong

not taking anything away from Dawson

but to suggest Westwood’s time at our club is nearly over is just writing the lad out

he can still be number one push cammy for that role or even be an great member of the squad

westwood is in his latter end of his playing career 2-6 years left at best but he isn’t done yet

great pro, great lad, still a very very good keeper
