Sonny
Just been a segment on BBC2 news about championship finances. Wigan chairman interviewed about how it’s a bubble that will burst. Mentioned us and said we deny the charges.
danblakemore
Most people that called in and also those in the studio just said everything we already know. Nothing ground breaking, just the usual from Bolton, Boro and us. EFL need to do something... We were ok when it was all going well
Steve Down South
Nothing specifically about Wednesday, more about how Championship clubs as a whole are chasing Premier League dream and making huge losses. Lots of talk re “bubble about to burst” as wages alone exceed revenue for a number of clubs - apparently if wages go over 70% of revenue as a rule of thumb then club is in trouble. No idea here we stand against this measure (excluding ground sale).
handworth52
greed is everywhere in life and most owners see the 200 million bounty and go for it at all costs ,ive lost interest in going up as the thought of us paying 100k a week plus for an average footballer makes me sick. we paid abdi 35k a week for been sick all time .should be a rule in football that if your not fit you only get 20% of your wages and you have to take your own insurance out though your wages if that predicament happens ,99% of footballers would suddenly be fit ,and no xmas hols for the likes of you no who who plays for us.
twolaptops
Basically a sports topic that sums up the game today........time expended 1% football...99% money
matthefish2002
Not at all sure why but radio stations are not allowed to report any politics on General Election Day besides that fact they is an election. So probably just rehashing a few old stories to fill in the time today like this one. Doesn't tell me anything new really.

Ian_D
It was also on 5live after 7am this morning. Didn't hear it all but did hear that the former Wigan chairman was saying that before they sold, they were losing £1M a week. The prog said that the Championship clubs are spending more on wages than they had money coming in, things we all probably know. Its madness. latemodelchild
Bbc website has a story about it today. It seems that there's a change coming, unfortunately we may have been destroyed before it comes. Miss parachute payments, miss FFP rejig. Double whammy.

BRUCE LEE
Hits the nail on the head about being ‘numb’ walking into Hillsborough at present It’s completely drained emotion out of it, we don’t know what we are cheering for Do we need the 3 points to go up, stay up, WTF is happening
Castleford Owl
I’m pretty sure under current rules over half the clubs in this league will breach P&S.
