Said it before, and will say it again. If DA had pulled the same stunts, there would be riots.

We all want success, but it should not come at any cost.

That largely depends on what form the success comes in.

Say Red Bull came for us again, with their global business model, there unlimited wealth and their proven track record, success would be all but assured and I for would be very happy with that.

Fake companies eh

He takes the term ‘happy clapper’ to a new level does this poster. I think he’s taken too many narcotics at northern soul nights over the years and it distorts his judgement on anything to do with Wednesday!

The old arguments that we came close to going up a couple of times, that DC has spent loads of money or he's not a bad bloke etc etc are all largely redundant now. Like many, I gave him the benefit of the doubt however, he's been naive at best and incompetent on so many fronts that it's impossible to back him any longer. For every step forward, we take several back.

The best we can hope for is an amicable separation.

The best we can hope for is to get rid of snowflakes like yourself...you wouldn't have lasted ten minutes in the 70's

That isn't what we have now though.

Currently we are spending the most money in our history, breaking EFL rules left right and centre, have half the same team we had 4 years ago, and we rip off fans to watch us.

The killer is we are no closer to promotion, and face an uncertain future due to EFL investigations and points deductions.

Not good, and still not seeing a long term plan to address the issues.

I'm not sure this is true. The lawyers who managed the conveyancing between the 'two' parties, would register the sale transaction through a TR1 form they would complete and submit to the Land Registry on the behalf of DC as owner of his new company (the purchaser) at the time of the sale, which was in 2019, not 2018 as the 'sale' was only recorded as legal under Heads of Terms in the 2017/18 accounts, which is apparently acceptable practice under accountancy rules.

I expect the SDLT would also follow the same process.

SDLT is more complicated. What happens when you have contracts for sale of land that involves future considerations? Or payments over a period of time? Or contracts that are 80% completed in 2017 but only 100% completed in 2019? When is the tax due? When the contract (or Option Agreement) is signed, or when the last payment is made?

Would also add that the TR1 will also probably be accompanied by a Lease from the new "owner" to the club. Commercial Property transactions can be complicated, and the SDLT Rules can also be very complicated.

Just to give you an example - the Purchase of a player attracts VAT. The vast majority of transfer agreements have the transfer to be paid at certain dates in the future (usually linked to TV income dates which are paid throughout the season rather than all at once). But the VAT is due, in full, once the Transfer agreement comes into effect, whether you have the money upfront or in stages. Its one of the reasons Leicester wanted £80m up front from Man U for Maguire rather than a staged payment. Much better for them.

Creative accounting has it's place ,  but its no substitute for running a club properly.

It's that comical.

How some people think our business practices aren't an issue, is scary.

I can't predict that, guessing what tomorrow will bring is hard enough for us.....remarkable given the importance of our short, medium and long term plans......which as it turned out all appeared to be short term and based on nothing more than a dice role gamble. lol

It's all about know how and sadly we have a nice owner with little idea of what he is doing, sadly that has disaster written all over it.
