Anyone know how connor wickham is getting on now a days?

That's the sort of singing we need in Jan

Knew it wouldn’t be long before his name cropped up. We need to stop living in the past, hooper, wickham, ben10. Those days are gone.

New striker?

We have a hat full of them but only one regularly gets picked and some don’t get anywhere near the bench. Why would Chansiri give Monk money for a striker when he only plays one?

Also, like many in this thread, I can’t think of an affordable name of one we could get.

True, and that has been the case since the Wembley defeat. 3 or 4 targeted loan signings would have done the job back then, and that remains the case right now It’s the 30 odd signings, and the money spent, since then, that has landed us where we are today What we’ve done so far this season, has to be the way forward

Amazingly we could still field this squad, ignoring all those signings from years two, three and four, and we’d be £35m better off.

Westwood

Palmer

Iorfa

Borner

Penney

Hutchinson

Luongo

Bannan

Harris

Nuhiu

Forestieri

subs

Dawson

Lees

Bates

Thorniley

Odubajo

Lee

Murphy

Add 3 or 4 strategic loan signings to that, and it shows you how superfluous most of our dealings have been Years two, three and four, were truly bonkers

Think it’s a must in January. This team is still crying out for someone with a bit of pace that can get in behind the defence and finish.

Sell Rhodes and Winnall and bring in someone, no idea who, could be a kid from a premier league team, just someone with pace please that can play off Fletcher.

Or, and just a thought we could play the striker we currently have with pace and the ability to get in behind defences, able to play off Fletcher and given chances will score goals, but that will mean Monk taking his head out of his ..… and playing his best player from the start of matches not when we are goals down against crap teams.

Just a thought though.

A random name to put out there is Lawrence Shankland - Currently playing in the Scottish Championship in the last 2 and a bit season he has scored 67 goals in 74 games.

At 24 years old he is a good age and will improve but his stats speak for themselves he is a goal scoring playing in a team like ours that creates chance I can see him scoring goals for us.

We have quite a long history of signing Scottish players and at the right price this could be a player we bring in get playing championship standard and could develop into a talent or be a player we make money on in 12-18 months time.

If you mean Forestieri, he isn’t that type of forward.

We need to look in lower leagues for a rough diamond. Plenty of other teams seem to find them we never seem to look . Young quick forwards are there if we were willing to take a risk.

Maybe our scouting staff should shadow those at Peterborough as they always seem to unearth some gems in the striking department. Our scouts must be learning how to build a den.

Could you do us a search on FIFA 20?

Why would you play Winall or Rhodes?

Sign Bowen from Hull City.

When he leaves Hull it'll be for the premier league - and megabucks.

Easy, remember Stevie May looked good up there

Different stature. Fletcher be a good role model for him. Clearly a very good finisher.
