Weird Odubajo 7 did well almost scored a thunderbolt Iorfa 9 immense Borner 6 been poor since Blackburn Fox 6 is it just me or does he run like he’s got poo running down his leg? Bannan 6 too deep Lee 5 missed a sitter Luongo 6.5 good until last 15 mins Reach 5 struggled Harris 6.5 would have been lower except for excellent finish Fletcher 5 poor Lees 6 at fault for goal?? Forestieri 7 should be starting Nuhiu 7 had an impact again We were t brilliant but far better than them. Poor finishing but also bad luck. Two off the line, crossbar and a definite penalty for handball. Poor tactics at home but still did enough to win! Lees was at fault for goal. Guest
Iorfa was head and shoulders above the rest. Moses was steady, Fox offered plenty of support going forward. Dawson was OK, had very few saves to make, could have caught a couple that he chose to punch and his kicking is not good enough but didn't do anything costly. Fletcher's was below par and his finishing was poor, Reach kept trying but it looked like he knew he was struggling when he came off. Some good stuff from Forestieri and Nuhiu from the bench. Everyone else a bit up and down but credit to Harris for keeping going. We really need to be more clinical when we are on top. Should certainly have been in front at half time and even though we were a bit more open 2nd half we were still the better side. To score just 1 goal from that overall performance is not reflective of the game as a whole and is very frustrating to keep saying this.
britpunk77
Iorfa, some great driving runs to get us on the front foot and more than competent defending. Well done Big Dom.
A E Neuman NYowl
Said it before the system with Fletcher on his own up top flanked by 2 wide men is totally flawed it. We won't get enough goals and it relies on snatching a goal and the defence not conceding. As soon as the opponents score we have to make wholesale changes to try to get back in the game. In modern football the wingbacks have to provide the width which allows you to get more players in the dangerous areas. Mom Iorfa by a mile. Dawson. 6. Not much to do but let the goal in, no outstanding saves but handling and distribution better. Fox. 6. Gets forward and puts decent crosses in, offers more than the defensive minded Palmer in this position. Borner. 6. Part of the defence that didn't give them a sniff in th first half. Iorfa. 9. Once again majestic, the best player on our books by a long margin. Odubaju. 6. Been critical of him in the past but I thought he was OK today, tries to get forward which I like. Luongo. 6 Thought he really looked the part for the first 25 minutes but the appeared to disappear. At least he tries to get up and support the attack. Lee. 5. Thought he was poor tonite, not surprised when he was subbed. Reach. 4. Lots of endeavour but no quality at all tonite, again not surprised when he was subbed. Bannan. 6 Typical Bannan game some lovely touches but too many glory balls to Fletchers head, when he is surrounded by defenders. Harris. 6 Got an extra point for the goal, although I think the keeper should have stopped it. We know he has pace and strength but I think we have burned him out with the tracking back that he has to do. Fletcher. 5. You have to admire his work rate but his alround game was poor tonite, didn't win an header for 80 minutes and his poor control let him down in the penalty area. Subs Lees. 5. I think it was Lees who got beat to ball at the front post for the goal. Extra point if not. FF. 7. Looked lively and made some great runs coming from deep. Should be in the team but not as one of the strikers in a 442. Nuhiu. 7 Looks slow and unfit but some how causes defences to panic. Those who don't follow us seriously underestimate how good he is on the deck.

As I said, he did his job and crucially didn't make any errors that cost us goals - which is why he is in the net at the moment. His kicking has always been poor, he barely reaches the halfway line from goal kicks and twice in a short space of time in the 2nd half he moved the ball to the right side of the 6 yard box to kick towards Fletcher and got it nowhere near him. I don't expect him to be able to pass like Ederson but keepers should be more accurate than he is in the modern game. Westwood isn't much better and neither show signs of much improvement in this respect which raises questions about the coaching.
Guest LittleG
Anybody who didn't vote for Iorfa can't have gone to the match. He was immense tonight and looked as though he wanted to take Brum on his own. Odubajo has so much pace to get him out of tricky situations but some of his passing was poor. Lee needs resting and we should revert to hutch, BB and Luongo in midfield. FF made a difference and shod start next game. Biggest mistake was made by Monk having a go at Clotet, pointless doing it and probably fired up their players. Should have been the bigger man and not stopped to his level. james o connor
Dawson 6 nothing of note to do. No chance for goal but refreshing to see goal kicks stay on the pitch and seemed a calmer presence than recent weeks. moses 6.5 thought he did okay . Wish he’d bomb forward more borner 6 concerning he seems to be turning into a typical Wednesday signing . Injured iorfa 7 painful he is the only player we have that moves up the field with purpose fox 6.5 steady as ever reach 4 come to the conclusion the lads just not very good. Accused him of not trying previously , that didn’t look the case tonight. luongo 6.5 there’s a very good player in there, just hopefully he can get an injury free run In the side . bannan 5.5 standard spraying balls around and standing in our half whilst attacking lee 5 finished at this level Fletcher 5 been one of his biggest fans in the last year but his poor finishing in a team of even poorer finishers is starting the grate. harris 5.5 extra half point for scoring as he was poor bar that

Ronnie Starling
Dawson 6 nothing much to do Odubajo 6 steady Borner 6 steady Iorfa 8 strong in defence and attack Fox 7 steady Harris 4 Orville Bannan 3 Poor Lee 3 Waste of a shirt Luongo 5 Anonymous Reach 4 Poor Fletcher 3 Touch like a baby elephant Forestieri 6 lively Lee's 6 steady Nuhiu 6 better option than Fletcher Once again our midfield was woeful and lacklustre. If we are looking to improve the squad in January this is where we need to concentrate our efforts.
torres
Iorfa was head and shoulders above anyone in performance I thought FF looked lively when he came on but the rest were just only credible for their effort which no one can fault. (should be a given anyway) The final ball is a disgrace at times
