Wizzard1867
I'm with Monk. Carry on playing the same way and the chances will start going in. The other players will get their chances with the number of games coming up. No need to worry about who started on Saturday, it will change out of necessity on Wednesday and next weekend. And well done to Palmer for taking out Diangana at the end of the game...

Hardly rocket science that. So...if Forestieri plays up top we don't make any mistakes. Fair dos.

If our best players play in their best positions then we are less likely to make mistakes. The implication being that Monk isn't picking his best team and that is why we keep dropping points. That's what you said about 5 minutes ago. Nando is one of our best players, right?

Take the West Brom game for example, our bench on Saturday was probably the strongest 7-man bench in this weekend’s Championship fixtures. Yet the starting XI had too many passengers. Sorry but that’s down to the manager.
Bouncing Owl
Mental fragility, individual mistakes late in games and a lack of goals/pace up front is the problem. I’m looking at the squad and how we’ve played and we aren’t far away. The performances against Leeds and West Brom prove this. It’s very very frustrating! Threw my laptop across the room after another late goal at the weekend. Doing my nut in!

Oh i see , I thought you meant people were being played out of position when you said people are being played out of position! Selection is a different thing isn't it. Fair enough. I thought we actually played well on Saturday against the table toppers. Albeit we lost because of a c0ck up. Who would you have picked and who would you have dropped? Who would you have picked and who would you have dropped? I don’t see the point in picking a back 4 when not one of our full-backs would get into any of the current top 6 sides. So I’d pick a back 3 of Borner, Lees and Iorfa and work from there.

Owls-Fan
After a strong start I see Monk’s record with us is now won 4, drawn 4, lost 4. That’s midtable results right there It’s time to cut out the silliness and get the points the performances on a whole have deserved. Save individual errors his tactics would have us in the top 3 wouldn't they? Who do you think is playing out of position currently? There's an argument that Palmer is a better left back than right back. Or that Reach could play left wing. After that...they are all in their best positions aren't they? 1 hour ago, SiJ said: Well, we do need to take our chances and it is the players who are making stupid mistakes which are costing us points. Apart from that, great post. 100%. I remain upbeat, tactically Monk hasn’t done much wrong for me. Substitutions aside....We are dropping points and results through individual errors as opposed to poor setups, eliminate them and we look good all things considered.
