We won’t avoid anything. Once it gets to this stage it’s more of a case of how badly they will hit us.

These last few seasons have been a slog but just as we see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Yea knowing our luck they will relegate us .

Aye, I bet most of the squad, relaxing in their silk dressing gowns and crocodile skin slippers whilst sipping pink champagne on their opulent balconies surveying their car collections are absolutely devastated.

It’s not their fault they were good enough to play football and you aren’t.

Just had this from a mate, not sure how much truth is in it.....

Heard about this. The sale was attributed to the years accounts but theres still no money exchanged.
Against one of the fundamental rules of accounting.

Well am hoping DC thought in advance about what may happen ffs

It's not just us.  Derby and Reading have done the same thing.  Selling the stadium isn't specifically against the rules (it was, and then the rules were changed to align with Premier League P&S rules and this loophole was created).  What the EFL appear to be getting us with is a technicality around when the sale was registered with respect to when it was included in the accounts.

I assume DC isn't an accountant.  And he can't randomly make up accounts and submit them himself.  So this whole thing would have to be signed off by a "proper" firm of accountants.

If you dislike the slightly shady nature of the whole thing that's fine.  But DC himself is doing what others have done, and is attempting any way he can of pumping as much money into the club as possible.  Might all end in tears, but it's not akin to some dodgy owner asset stripping until it can't pay wages.

Do people seriously think we will beat the EFL on this? Like has been said above when it gets to this stage it’s just a case of how bad they punish us.

They’ll definitely punish us. You’re right, it doesn’t get this far without being found guilty. Guess it then could come down to the lawyers and how good a case we think we have.

They haven’t done anything illegal. It’s the rules of our governing body we’ve (possibly) broken.

So a bit like FF then. Not guilty of racism in a court of law as there's no evidence but guilty in the EFL's kangaroo court.

Inevitable. Can't backdate the sale how Chansiri has and not expect scrutiny. I applaud his financial commitment to the club, but the way he's done things reeks of amateur. He's approached FFP as an after-thought. This season is now a write-off.

its far from a write off . how big will the points deduction be? whats the most they could hit us with? anything more than 15 points we will have a job stopping up ,and then what kind of decline are we in? with a huge drop in turnover and still will a huge wage bill(yes a lot are out of contract) look at a big club like sunderland and they are struggling in league 1.  this club has been run like a joke for 5 years now it looks like its penalty time and im sure they (efl) will hit us with a maximum hit . very worrying

Have Derby and Reading blatantly fiddled the sale date to make it fit into the most convenient year's accounts though?

And have they had various "sponsors" which are blatantly non trading shell companies?

Think we have a strong case of FFP rules prohibit strong competition.

Someone will challenge them on this crap, hopefully us.

We can bleat on about how we should be able to spend our money how we please etc etc.

Fact is the rules are in place and have been for some time. DC has spent the last three seasons setting absurd valuations and refusing to move players on. We as fans are paying some of the highest prices in the league.

I’m flipping fuming with the owner right now. He’s once again been shown to be totally out of his depth.
