This will be demoralising for the players

Aye, I bet most of the squad, relaxing in their silk dressing gowns and crocodile skin slippers whilst sipping pink champagne on their opulent balconies surveying their car collections are absolutely devastated.

So are we being investigated for one season and they are still looking in to our accounts for the previous season?

The fact that SWFC has been charged, would suggest their investigation is over...........................for the ground sale anyway.

Their maybe repercussions for seasons following, after release of the last set of accounts.

The EFL will be loving all this, they will have been waiting for us to fizz up so they can make an example of us and DC has handed it to them on a plate. Like has been said the chances of play offs this season will have to be forgotten. Depending how many points they deduct will have us fighting for our lives at the other end of the table. Would not surprise me one bit if they wait until the last month of the season and then take away enough points to put us in serious trouble.

We won’t avoid anything. Once it gets to this stage it’s more of a case of how badly they will hit us.

These last few seasons have been a slog but just as we see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Well after this season is over, regardless of what happens, we'll be out of FFP trouble for the time being.

Still there will be people who defend the club and blame the EFL. Only us and Birmingham have been punished for this. Two teams out of the entire football league.

Shambolic running of our finances.

Well one club has gone bust, one nearly did and one is probably will do.

Not all doom and gloom.

Think we might need to hire a new accountant :duntmatter:

That was my first thought. Surely the accountants wouldn't sign the accounts off if we'd done something illegal? DC would surely have discussed this at great length. He didn't just push the transaction through and hope the accountants nd EFL wouldn't notice.

But Villa were in the EFL when they sold their stadium so the same rules should apply or yet again one rule for one team and another rule for others.

This is kind of the fundamental issue with the EFL they pick and choose which teams to fine and dish out embargo to then completely ignore others.

Do they though? I bet Villa managed to sell theirs within the FFP dates too. Its not hard if you consider FFP before the date has passed. Your right about teams that were in the EFL being liable though, though they can only issue fines against them like they did with QPR even though going up had solved their issues.

And the rest reaped the rewards of the premier league without punishment.

... aaand that’s the problem right there.

They haven’t done anything illegal. It’s the rules of our governing body we’ve (possibly) broken.
