What they gonna do, dock them points from a separate league. Wolves also spent way above P&S too So presumably when they get relegated this season back to the EFL they cannot get retrospective deduction. But at least Villa learnt their lesson its not like they went out and spent a £100m on players over the summer …….. wait a minute

This has been coming, but his refusal to sell has also come back to haunt him.

agentwalker
Get ready guys, the EFL will go silent not until the final day of the season then inflict a points deduction that will see is relegated by ONE point. fizz YOU EFL, YOU USELESS TWATS
bigdan2003
Looks like the club is going to be fighting this. How did the EFL go from happy to sign off the accounts in July, to this in a few months?
camffiti
Another reason why this season has been a write off, from the start If points deductions are on the horizon, our third year drifting down FFP creek, may have just become a rocky one GI' OARS BACK! ArmchairOwl
EFL will wait till near end of season, if we're in the playoffs the deduction will come, if not the deduction will come next season.

David Somni Jennings
If the EFL aren't allowing the backdating of the sale, does that mean it goes into the finances submitted this year instead? and puts us in a better position going forward? It's how we sold it and the timing of the sale that's the problem. So can we all stop with the "What about Derby?" and "The EFL are against us" In English law a deal can be struck on a hand shake or gentlemanly agreement, If this is so then back dating the paperwork should not be of consequence. I do think though we should file a suit against Gibson under the trades description act describing Rhodes as a footballer of worth.
Mystic Neg
Buck stops with DC. With all his money and the best will in the world not being enough. Most of the things that have gone wrong in the last 5 years are a result of him not putting the right people in the right places at our club. Noone has it in for Wednesday, this is a result of mismanagement.

Stoop
We can all hope for the best here, but I’d imagine that they’ll be intent on making an example of us 9-12 points would be my guess
Mr Farrell
Do we even read the rules ? If DC or Paxo don't understand them, then get somebody in to help who does. Unbelievable. How can we move forward if we aren't well run.

Forza SPAL
Unfortunately this time we have no-one to blame but ourselves. Signed too much dead wood on high wages, then stubbornly refused to sell. I know some of them were unable to be sold even when an attempt was made, but we've all followed this saga for long enough. A gamble that almost, but not quite paid off. Now we suffer the consequences. UTO FTB

Beauchief Owl
So we could be punished because DC can't even sell to himself without breaking the rules, pathetic. We could have taken a hit last season or better still not at all if this had all been done properly. Season probably ruined.
WalthamOwl
No doubt a points deduction and transfer embargo. Absolutely shambolic running of the club. DC needs help by someone who knows what they are doing. He’s going to sink us if he carries on running us the way he is. To much has happened for all this to be coincidence.
