Even better if wage cut was written into all players contracts if they are relegated (agreed across all clubs). They want the rewards for promotion, they should suffer the consequences for failing. By suffer, I mean they'd have to survive on a paltry £8k a week or get a new employer.

EXACTLY. How parachute payments exist whilst we're bent over and but phucked without lubrication for this poo is beyond me.

Anyone got owt to throw my way in terms of where’s the common sense in how Bolton have just been dealt with ?     Suspended points penalty ? How’s that work ? Suspensed on what terms ?

What a mess the regulations are, surely if the EFL arnt careful someone’s going to take them to task in a court and make them look a laughing stock

Alan Nixon said a couple of things earlier ,  1 been it’s an independent panel that decides these things not directly the EFL and it’s alright slating the FFP regs but ultimately it’s the clubs that’s voted for these to be in place

I did read a few years ago might have been on here that it was being written into some contracts. Getting rid of agents would be a start as well.

It isn't fair, as Swiss Ramble highlighted in August:

I think the big problem with the EFL is no two cases are ruled the same, if there were set guideline then maybe clubs would have more of a clue what to expect.

Doncaster have been waiting for 2 months to find out if the game against Bolton will be replayed or award to the them 3-0 but EFL say no decision for 3 months. Why they need that long because they are grossly incompetent fools.

Bit of a joke really, the EFL are appealing a decision made by an independent panel who were appointed by/working on behalf of the EFL.

What next..........................................EFL sues themselves lol

We are a bit clueless and don't understand the rules.

The EFL are a  bit clueless and can't apply the rules.

Is it any wonder football is becoming a steaming turdfest  ?

That's the thing with the EFL they took nearly a year to decide that the courts were wrong and Fessi was a racist. It's almost like they make decisions on what everybody wants to hear not what's right.

Only the EFL could appoint an independent panel to investigate, then appeal their own appointed panel’s decision

Not fit for purpose

A joke of an organisation run by old farts who haven’t got a clue what they are doing. Clubs should look into resigning from the EFL and see if there is a market for a PL2.

Nando scores a last minute winner against the Baggies.......

Then drops his pants to show his arse, upon which are written the words F*ck the EFL.

Worth another ban surely?

Yep, the notion of the EFL "appealing" seems weird to me.

Reminds me of when the Pigs were relegated in 2007. There was talk of them "appealing" the decision not to dock points from WHU. But it seemed clear this couldn't work. The decision had knock on effects for third parties, but the Pigs weren't a party in any real sense.

Similarly, this is a panel ruling about Bolton. In principle BOlton could presumably appeal if there were grounds. But no one else is a party, surely?

Quite the task, doing the writing here. And need a sweat proof ink but one that's delible in time, assuming that Mrs Nando won't want to gaze upon this admirable slogan for the rest of here married life
