Lionel Fessi
That's now 2 points picked up out of a possible 9, all down to conceding 1 or 2 goals in the last 10 minutes, Cardiff, Blackburn and now Swansea. Need to start closing out games or we can forget talking about the playoffs or better. What's the problem? Are we missing leaders on the pitch? Is it Westwood? Or have we just been getting unlucky?
trev
It's lack of intelligence in the players. They just lose their heads it seems. Such a shame as they all put in a shift today.

norris
Although the aim in football is to try to prevent the opposition from scoring, sometimes that will not be possible. Also, if all the other teams added up the points they would have if they hadn't conceded goals then we still would not be second. Hope that helps. 1 3
GMOwl72
No we should be 7th We are the masters of our own downfall so far. We COULD however be 2nd if things had worked out differently. Edited November 9, 2019 by GMOwl72

JOCOWl
Is it Westwood? Seriously? The guy will save us 5 times the points than he will cost us. Yes he's been at fault today, he's human, but you'll not get many who are as consistent as what he's been over the last few seasons. Every other championship club would have him, how many more can you say that about?

Bit harsh to blame Westwood for the Cardiff goal? Good post. In those three games, leading with only a few minutes left, to throw SEVEN points away is criminal really. Looking on the bright side, we are one point off 6th despite such poor closing-out. We are very close to being a very good side. 1

Correct point... other teams would waste time. Boot ball out. Go down injured etc etc we just go back to the walls and invite em on. Need addressing. Cost us 7 pts in 3 games. Eightace
We create a lot of chances but don't score enough. As much as Fletcher and Nuhiu graft and have near misses, we need a goalscorer. Never seen as many dangerous balls go in the box begging to be put away. I'd prefer to see Fessi along side Fletcher. But we also give other teams a lot of chances. Swansea could have had another two goals easily. I think we have done this a lot. Leeds could have won it the other week even though attacking wise we were decent. It's the lack of putting away chances as much as conceding late goals. We have our good days, but would need a spectacular January window and great pre-season to be anywhere near very good. I really think this summer is pivotal, time to let a few old favourites go and move forward with a younger squad, including both Premier League loans and permanent signings from lower leagues. Costello 77
We're an honest side.. which I like..and not far off being a good footballing squad.. I'd appeal for patience at the moment because the small margins can soon go in our favour and big swings in league position will follow..

When you think we are 7th, a point off 6th, and have been close to wins v Cardiff, Blackburn and Swansea we must be reasonably close to being a very good Championship side. Plus, we’ve coped with key players out at the last minute. This last 5 have disappointed. Only six points is not good enough, and could have been so much better.
