SallyCinnamon
Two mistakes again today. Not good enough for our number 1. Yes makes good saves, but doesn’t make up for costing us goals.

Like lee and loovens and Wallace and hooper before him there comes a time when a player is no longer upto the standard required . What the point in screaming at defenders when we’re high up the pitch if he can’t open his mouth to his left back that’s it’s his ball?

Must be learning from our current number one as Westwood’s communication this season is as poor as his ability to keep the ball out the net
Andy30
Ffs , saved us against Blackburn and Leeds cost us one today. He’s guna get us more points then he will lose. Team played well today so unlucky just needed ball to drop 1

We all know how bad we can be when we went without Westwood, although that's more of a reflection on Jos than Dawson, but KW is running out of second chances. He is so much better than this, he can make all the worldly saves he wants but if he can't do the basics then how can he keep his place?

newbster
How many times have we screamed for westwood to be the number 1 and how many times as he gained us points.. Yes he has made a few errors this season but its only because of how good he is its gets highlighted more.. He is by far and away a better keeper than dawson in my opinion and should still be backed. He will no doubt atone for today during the season. Stoop
It’s not Westwood’s fault that everyone loses their sh*t near the end of games

Works both ways.
Dylan93
What a moby. He’s gained us more points than most of our strikers. That save before their second was world class. We all make mistakes. Onto the next game.
0wl18
Dawson wouldn’t be first choice for the vast majority of league 1 teams. Westwood is still very much one of the best goalkeepers in the league. A lot of fans have incredibly short memories.
alanharper
If they hadn't scored from the corner the thread would've been calling Westwood a God for that point blank save.
cowl
Dropping Westwood isn't all of a sudden going to make Dawson command his defence better. And today's particular mistake aside (which seemed to come from Westwood not taking charge of a situation), Westwood still excels in this area. Emerson Thome
21 minutes ago, alanharper said: Claiming crosses and communication aren't exactly Dawson's strong point. There comes a point, when both our goalkeepers look so hopeless under crosses that you have to wonder if the defence isn't giving them enough support. Are we failing to block runs, hold a decent shape? Swansea aren't a particularly big team and only had 4 corners - they scored from two of them and it was absolute carnage every time they crossed the ball in the box. Ditto Cardiff, Blackburn, etc...
