A long time friend I have who hails from such parts but lived in Sheffield for the last 20 years.   For the record he follows Wednesday only because his team is Napoli and the shirts are vaguely similar.

Eh?

Napoli shirts have never been anything like ours!    More like Man City light blue shirts.   I think you're making this up.

There is something else with him, has been for a few years now. It's not all ability.

He hasn't been bothered for a while in truth, could be for a variety of reasons.

How can you say he hasn't been bothered. When he has come on as a sub he chases the ball and gives the ground and players a lift.

There are a few on here who are against him. Listen to the chants from 20000 + when he gets ready to come on.

You are very much in the minority.

Why would a guy who works for the pigs make this up?

Is it just me...or there is a real reluctance to start Forestieri and this has been the case now for a number of years?

At Blackburn he came on and was just wondering about waiting for ball to come to him & they scored whereas he's capable of moments of class but is s like playing wi 10 men until he does sometimes

Lots of worry on here about the line up. We have pace down both wings, players in the middle who can supply to them and height in the middle for crosses. But can we function defensively? Murphy and Harris need to work their socks off today that's for sure.

He's going for goals.

I like it.

We'll win 5-3.

Exactly, it's an attacking line up at least, and that's what people have been crying out for haven't they?

Probably yes, he's been a scout for the pigs for 18 years.

Full time scout ?

Would have preffered reach still in to help lee/bannan and murphy over nuhiu for some pace up front with hutch out.

Our wingers might be too quick for our forwards!

Don’t worry Ash. They won’t get over the halfway line. They’ll both be auxiliary full-backs cos we’re gonna be chasing the ball all afternoon. Not enough pace or power in the team to win it back

It does seem that way. He has to be at least as good if not better than some of those picked. We need some pace through the middle and wide and if Fessi hasn't got it I done know who has  . He can carry the ball FORWARD at pace and attract free kicks. What more can you ask. Let him run himself into the ground for 60 odd minutes (which he would) then sub him if he's knackered.

We rarely get anything from free kicks, or corners. Certainly other teams offer more of a threat from them.

Glad he's finally had the bottle to drop reach though.

The most lightweight I can ever remember. And I’ve seen Ian Mellor and Petr Rudi play

I'm shocked.

Didn't know they still did 3D.

Apart from Murphy not giving Palmer cover is a worry and no enforcer in midfield

we ain’t got that many options

re Forestieri don’t forget Monk and previous managers see him every day but no one has really started him much over the past few years

At least he's dropped Reach...

Shame that it is Murphy who comes in for him :duntmatter:

Adam needs a serious kick up the arse, so hopefully him getting benched will have the desired affect.
