I honestly don’t remember ever watching a worse game of football. And that includes Northern Irish and Scottish games!

But it was also effing brilliant! Bit like taking home a munter, but discovering she has great technique...

Excellent tonight Wednesday. At last we played as a team. We marked up brilliantly.

Well done. Let's hammer Leeds now.

Great defensively. Not much going forward. However, 3 points is 3 points and I'll take that all day long.

Forgettable game, made it more difficult than it should have been with another poor second half. Welcome 3 points, but that's about it.

Final mention for the ref, did ok, for a change even handed and fair.

We we're starting to play the ball to feet more and move off the ball better later on, earned the points today. Can start to build on the play style now

Thank Christ for that. We need to really improve our ball retention if we’re going to do anything this season

...it's why we need players like FF and Lee playing.  They hardly lose it and it they do, they win it back.

That was painful but at least we got the 3 points. What is wrong with us? Why do we give them the ball and invite them on to us when we get our noses in front?

I can't imagine Monk told them to do that. It's the players on the pitch that just invite pressure. Even when the opposition are down to 10 men we fail to control the ball and tempo of the game.

I'd get a sports psychologist to get in their heads and instill some sense.

Horrid game to watch, poor performance.  But over the moon with 3 points. Uto

We ground it out and that's really important. The wise ones always say it's important to be able to scratch the wins out of the stony ground when you're not playing well. They be promotion points, they be!

Now we turn our headlights onto marijuana's most unattractive creation. You know who I mean.

That was dreadful. Played so badly against a team that look like they've given up on this season already....

Horrendous approach we took to that second half. No ambition to try and score the clincher, even when they were down to ten men. As far as we were concerned it was just about trying to prevent it from being 1-1 for as long as possible. Being sensible when you have the lead is one thing but just hacking the ball anywhere, giving away constant free kicks and reducing the pitch to not really include the final 30 yards at their end made it increasingly likely we would repeat the disappointment of Friday night.

Boring, dangerous, frustrating, stupid and small time. All too reminiscent of the terrified tedium we played under Alan Irvine and a style that is unlikely to be successful in the long run. We won and that's obviously the main thing, but I cannot see this attitude being successful for us consistently.
