We need a bit of luck staying injury free and a good transfer window in January and we won't be far off

being in the top 6 will help us have a good transfer window in January.  Gives you more appeal to attract players

....and to play to win for 90 minutes, being more ruthless and stop retreating and handing the initiative to the opposition the longer the games progress.

We were our own worst enemies last night with that lame second half performance. Sadly it's not the first time we've taken our foot off the gas and almost every time we try and protect something, it backfires. Poor tactic for me.

As long as we are within 6 points of the top two then we are in a decent place. Potentially need to get 4 points from the next 2 games which will be tough but it’s not world beaters we are facing. Our weakened side did okay against Everton’s internationals so stoke and Leeds shouldn’t be daunting. Just need our players to turn up and the rain to s*d off

Indeed.

Just wish we would really go at teams, particularly when we are on top.

We were much the better team in the first half and were unlucky not to get a second goal.

In the 2nd half though we went all negative and tried to protect what we had. As is often the case, we weren't far off getting the three points, but you just knew that there an inevitable sucker punch coming.

So frustrating.

Sort of reinforces my view that this is a decent team, but we lack something mentally when we have the chance to kick on.

We sat back after we scored as usual, a decent team would have put more than one past them last night. Cardiff was awful

We had chances to make it safe,we didnt take them, the keepers out of position at a free kick, gives the kicker 3 quarters of the goal to aim at BINGO,be a reyt farce if we miss play offs by 2 points that will, all that hard work defensively flushed down the pan

Eh, not sure which is more confusing. Your inaccurate post about how we can’t bring players in (which we managed to do in the summer and will do again in January), or the fact an Owl has liked your inaccurate post.

anyway, Monk will be able to sign players in January on loan and the best ones tend to go to teams battling promotion at that time of year.  Hopefully we are in the mix so we can attract good players

Weve had two embargos in two seasons and theres question marks around the ground sale, you dont need a maths graduate to tell you weve got financial problems and will need to tread very carefully

You must have fell asleep then woke up half way through second half, we went looking for a second after we scored, Harris hit bar with a free kick you know and Fletcher missed a glorious chance when he chested instead of heading it or leaving it for Reach who was running in behind him.

I've had a row with my brother about tonight

I actually think it was a good point

I know their equalizer was wrnk but cmon we were lucky not to lose at the end - should thank that brilliant Dawson save

Couldn't we have been 2 to 3 up at half time though? Im of the opinion that it was 2 points dropped and we cant drop points when we had a chance to cement ourselves into the top 6 if we are aiming for promotion.
