horny owl
People can say what they want about VAR But if we’d had it at Cardiff we’d have got 3 points instead of just 1 Unless it’d have picked up palmer possibly giving away a penalty second thoughts b0!!0cks to VAR

I’m not even sure that we’d have won with it on Friday. Firstly would they have overturned the award of the freekick. Based on what we’ve been seeing with it, probably not. Would they have ruled out the goal for offside. Probably not on the basis that the referee can see it and had deemed it not interfering with play (incorrectly). If they aren’t going to over turn the foul on Origi yesterday then they wouldn’t have overruled the ref for ours as they’d argue that the ref could see it

I agree it shouldn’t have, just interested in what reason he gave

bigdan2003
The first step before we implement VAR is to get some good referees... That would have been offside had the officials been up to the standard required. They simply aren’t.
Owls2k
VAR isn't the issue, it's getting good refs to start with. There was no way in a million years that VAR should have been needed on Friday night.
Beholder
With VAR as it is they probably would have just upheld the refs poor decision.

And if they are being assessed nothing ever seems to come of their poor performances. Power without accountability. Nothing comes of it because there's a shortage of refs. Kids either aren't bothering to do the training course or ones that are are leaving before finishing due to threats of and actual physical and verbal abuse from players and parents and local F As doing bugger all to try and stop it. Can't see him down for a game this weekend, he's 4th official at QPR on Monday. Probably been given time off as a reward rather than punishment. It doesn't get any better for us, ref for the Leeds game is... Tim Robinson.
horny owl
Years ago nobody cared who the ref was at Wednesday games Now it’s the first thing you have to find out because there’s every chance it’ll be yet another corrupt, cheat Id love to know what their problem or agenda is with Wednesday
