FAO Eric Purshouse:

  • Surely Alcatraz is the worst place to put a bunch of people proficient in the dark art of collapsing¬†walls.
  • Oh sure, Mr. Purshouse. Of course the collapsing of an adjoining stretch of wall had nothing to do with an identical incident a week later. Whatever. Do you work for SAG or something?
  • All that being said, you're probably pushing on for 117¬†years old now, so I'll cut you some slack.

It’s alright for you lot, taking the wee wee.

I’ve been stuck in an Alcatraz, miles from anywhere for the last 40 years.

Does anyone have a spare chisel?

Hammers and chisels, mate

That was the rumour....I was on the old railway/scrap yard end...

The most dangerous thing about Millmoor in those days was that f.ookin' alley that ran from the Tivoli to the away end...been down it dunno how many times...feet never touched the ground once!!!

I stood below Purshouse who was in the directors box that day.

How on earth he with his seventy seven year old eyes could see from the half way line that vandals had dismantled the wall at the Tivolli end seems far fetched.
